@5pmInKampala @nyaika256 Well stated. No amount of PR can move a Car for "years".
English

@nyaika256 That car model alone is older than me but it's still in the conversation. When it comes to cars there's no such thing as good or bad PR... It's just cars in good condition & cars in bad condition. Every car/model speaks for itself

@JobMuhumuza @pwatchug Please compare the alternative of being given to a private firm.

@pwatchug I have never seen a Govt ambulance transporting a poor person so I don’t think it will make a difference. They are always out of fuel even the ones at Mulago so when do they actually work?

The former Chairperson, Health Committee, Charles Ayume (Koboko Municipality) has described as mind boggling, Government’s decision to remove Shs300Bn meant for the procurement of ambulances, and instead have the funds given to a private company, Roko Construction Company that is going through financial distress.
Ayume expressed his views through his X handle writing, “Interesting debate by both sides of the house today. But the omnibus decision to reverse the (Shs) 750Bn budgetary allocation across all sectors also affected the procurement of 80 ambulances for Ministry of Health and to me this is mind boggling. I need to put my head in a bucket of ice tonight.”

The Secretary to Treasury, Ramathan Ggoobi has claimed that one of the Lords in the House of Lords in the United Kingdom, informed him that Uganda now has better roads than United Kingdom.
Ggoobi made the remarks during a budget training of members of journalists of Uganda Parliamentary Press Association (@Uppareports ) at Hotel Africanna in Kampala, where he asked journalists to tell the true picture of the state of roads in Uganda, rather than joining the noise makers, complaining about potholes in Kampala.
