@MarkBroomy Play long balls, win the 2nd ball then build from high up the pitch, don't play out from the back, don't have the players. Nothing wrong with 442, work with Brighton, get Ferguson fit, he's your big man.
@Jason18971857@SmallerFishGAA That's not the point. The point is Football is awful at the moment, and it's alot more expensive to go to games. This "well what about the game 17 years ago" is pointless. The facts are the here and now, Gaelic football is on its knees and the attendances are showing that.
@pmurphy1981@SmallerFishGAA Can demand all we want but people seem to look back with rose tinted glasses thinking everything was better years ago when it’s actually the complete opposite
Got this from an extended panel member.
Imagine a stranger to Gaelic football describing it as 'the worst sport he's watched in his life'
We have become immune to it since McGuinness changed the game in 2011.
There are good moments for sure but it's not a good watch anymore.
@Jason18971857@SmallerFishGAA So no one has the right to want better? Even the almighty, all powerful GAA are not beyond criticism. I'm hazarding a guess that the admission prices were a lot lower in 2007.
@ClareB91@SmallerFishGAA But yet people are expected to pay for what? Yep to be entertained. Surely you can see if you don't have a product that people want to watch and to inspire young kids to participate then you won't have a product at all.
@SmallerFishGAA Need to remember this is an Amateur sport. Players have full time jobs and aren't paid to provide entertainment. Can't paint all sports with the one brush when most televised are professional.
It leaves a very sour taste that an All Ireland quarter final in hurling is throwing in at 1.15pm while soccer and rugby take up the prime slots on TV later in the evening.
Imagine the NFL playoffs being dropped down the order to accommodate soccer and rugby - sounds ridiculous right?
Hurling is our national sport and should be priority, sort out the rest after that or put them on the player
@RobNoLastName Your example was garbage which is all I set out to illustrate. You're talking about wealth taxes sending multimillionaires to food banks which is laughable. Even a radical organisation like the TUC has suggested wealth taxes at 1.7% above £3 million. Hardly penury.
Incredible how few people understand wealth. Almost as if they imagine "rich people" have pots of cash.
They have assets. If you tax an asset then the asset has to be sold.
Imagine I taxed you 20% of the value of your house. Do you have it in cash? No, so you have to sell it.
Then you buy a smaller house. Next year, I tax you 20% of that. You don't have it in cash, so again you sell it and move to a smaller one.
This happens year after year until you can no longer afford a house.
The state then has to pay to house you.
Anyone who calls for a wealth tax is frankly economically illiterate.
@FranMallon1@sinead_ryan@officialgaa Look at this fella. Vehemently defending an association who couldn't care less about you but will take your money. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@sinead_ryan@officialgaa Maybe you should go more and you’d see especially on full house days like AI finals with 82,000 that queues are minimal
And a bit of research would’ve showed you the GAA were only providing the venue, stewarding & crowd control was handled by Aikens, so maybe aim your ire there
Hands up, never been to Croker before but with their €€€ wouldn't you think @officialgaa could afford to automate the turnstiles instead of having a bloke scan individual tickets? 🙄
@pmurphy1981 And it isnt. Thats why its shit. Still falls on a himan decision to still get it wrong .
A horrid club with no class, if you want to put yourself with them , up to you !
@daveguil But it should be fool proof. That's my argument. Shouldn't be down to interpretation.
Forest are one of the english games royalty. Up there with Chelsea.
@pmurphy1981 VAR is a farce&isnt fool proof. Shouldn be in the game but
Doesn warrant the forest accusations.
VAR was alright when forest cheated in the play offs tho.
Forest are a wanky club with a wanky owner.
Therefore it amuses me greatly.
Like i said, coventry have more cause for outrage
@daveguil But they still have every right to call out this nonsense. VAR was meant to be fool proof, it isn't. By your own admission at least one was a penalty.
@pmurphy1981 VAR is bollocks&shouldnt be in the game.
On first watch, thought the third foul was closest to a pen.
That coventry offside is more controversial&theres more proof that if theres leniency its for the top few clubs.
That dont include forest so theyve just had a shitty day at best
At school I hit a rubber into a crowd of people in the playground using a rounders bat I stole from the PE cupboard. I hit a classmate in the eye & they ended up blind. The class clown got blamed. Feel regret every time I see him in town 19 years later wearing an eye patch.
Just had a Nigerian taxi driver take me to Coolock where I got a coffee served by an Albanian then I went to visit my Afghan doctor and then served in the pharmacy by a Ukrainian. We could not function without diversity.
@_andrewsena Not as much as the ravens the last few years. You'll win nothing with that glorified running back who is only interested in individual honours. Harbaugh is a has been, can never live up to his brother. Modell should have kept the Brown's.
@_andrewsena Coming from a country that calls its NATIONAL champions WORLD champions. Coming from a country that legitimately puts its school going children in immediate danger every day due to its gun laws. Yeah you lost mate.... and it's Football.
