For 250 years, America's founding documents have called Washington, DC home. Today, they're coming to you. The Freedom Plane National Tour, organized by @USNatArchives, @archivesfdn and part of the nationwide celebration led by @Freedom250, departs Reagan National Airport this morning on a customized Boeing 737, carrying rarely seen founding-era documents to Americans in every corner of the country. On board: the Original Engraving of the Declaration of Independence, the Treaty of Paris, George Washington's Oath of Allegiance, the Secret Printing of the Constitution, and more. First stop: Kansas City, Missouri. The National WWI Museum and Memorial hosts the exhibition March 6-22. Admission is free. Eight cities. Eight chances to stand face-to-face with the documents that made us a nation. Will you be there? Learn more at: freedomplane.org
