@EverydayMUFC22 Don’t think you do it if it’s over 80/85 mil. We need too much and there’s a lot of options out there in his position

It’s been said too many times before but practically every United fan. But I will say it again We HAVE to get Elliot Anderson. He is absolutely brilliant. We are being offered the chance to make up for missing out on Declan Rice, we have to take this chance. Price will be a joke

@BayernOvObserve @umirf1 I don’t think he’s the best manager out there. But think he’s pretty good and better than a lot of options were linked to

@BayernOvObserve @umirf1 That doesn’t make him ‘not great’ tactically. Thats one facet of the game he probably needs to work on. As you’ve said, hopefully he brings in assistants that do specialise in that. Pep for example brought in Ljinders to help evolve their game model in a more transitional league

@umirf1 People think coaching is only tactics. 80% of the united job is man management. There are only a handful of people who'd do a better job than him. He isn't great tactically but united's focus should be on recruitment anyway, they aren't getting a pep or Enrique out there.

@Malachians Not an Arsenal fan, but thought it was a pen even if it is soft. The fact it’s overturned though, despite it not being clear and obviously wrong is what will annoy a lot of people

Keown has absolutely no nuance at all, no balance and no attempt at objectivity which makes his answers completely predictable. We don’t need to “get the thoughts of Martin Keown”, we already know them. He loves Arsenal like a 12 year old kid which there’s nothing wrong with but he has no value as a pundit on anything related to Arsenal.

“Let’s ask Martin Keown if Arsenal should’ve had a 2nd penalty” . I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that there isn’t a single person on earth who didn’t know exactly how Keown would answer that question. 😂

@jordandelugo And even better for it. People used to allow Belichek all these crazy drafts cos we thought he’s the best coach of all time, he must know what we don’t. They were always bad. The key in the draft is to take the best players at valuable positions. If that overlaps with need, great

@jordandelugo But most teams boards now, for the most part, align similarly to the consensus board. We know that teams that don’t *significantly* reach in the draft have better outcomes on those players. There is not one point in recent history a team have done what the Jags have done…

@Johnfis08605918 @ade_oladipo1 PSG, Bayern and Barca can play at that intensity because there players have played far fewer games that the English teams. Dembele, Mendes, Neves, Marquinhos, etc have played as many UCl games as league games cos they rest them. You rest players in the prem, you miss europe…

I will say this.....the pace and intensity of the Premier League is completely different to any other league in Europe. I think PSG, Bayern, Madrid and Barca have such a big advantage in Europe having not to deal with this intensity week in week out Fair statement or BS ?

@mufcMPB How would that be classy? Still doing this thing that because Ole didn’t work out long term, no other interim can work long term. If you can’t get a top manager, just stick with Carrick. Our season next year will be determined by recruitment, not whose manager…

@thezeiders @jordandelugo Is anyone clutching their pearls or annoyed? They’re just criticising what they see as poor drafts. On balance, the majority of people think the Jags had a poor draft. The crowd is usually right

This is the exact victimism that is causing the discourse. Nobody is hating or annoyed with a consensus board. They are annoyed with the media members who are clutching their pearls because teams don't follow their precious list.
Jason_OTC@Jason_OTC

Not really sure why there is so much hate towards a "consensus board" this year. Maybe its just boredom over the draft itself. Why get so annoyed at a sheet that simply collects the opinions of many of the draft analysts you read all offseason leading into the draft?

@podjot16 @NicWestin But the data includes the teams that are reaching (and every year there are more reaches than steals). If reaching was on average worse than consensus, the consensus line would be above the actual draft pick line in the WAR graph

The consensus board is sort of like the law. It’s very reasonable and normal to be breaking it every once in a awhile, but when you do it over and over it’s probably bad.
Arif Hasan, but NFL 🏈@ArifHasanNFL

I don't understand this. Last year, you gave draft grades on players selected in the first round, including several D grades (nfl.com/news/grading-a…). Why are you allowed to give you give your grades but balk when others do it using a version of our collective work and wisdom?

@jordandelugo So we can’t evaluate anyone’s draft at all then? We can’t just pretend that the people whose evaluation goes into the consensus are stupid. Many evaluate the value of the player assuming they going into a system that fits them.
