@ellspanck @johnstanly Yess, exactly, both UAE and Saudi. At this point, GCC countries are basically just acting like vassal states of the US.

I feel for Saudi Arabia. The U.S. protection was the bedrock of the Saudi-American alliance since the 1945 Roosevelt-Abdalaziz summit on the Quincy on Egypt's Great Bitter Lake. Since the first Gulf war, U.S. troops presence promised direct security against potential regional threats. The Saudis wanted to join the U.S.-Israel axis, but Israel’s endless land grab and killings of Palestinians make it politically risky for the Crown Prince. And now, Iran’s repeated attacks drill holes into the U.S. protective umbrella. Yet MBS’s options are limited. If he directly joins the war, the Iranians could hit his economic lifelines. The Houthis could open a new front along the southern border. The same could happen if trump escalates. If trump ends the war and retreats, that would leave Iran more assertive in the Persian Gulf.

This is about the future King of Saudi Arabia. Won’t land well in Riyadh. The crown is already under tremendous pressure. Can it take such insults?

@ias400043 @muslim_1065 @Silentdesk23 @Nehrwho20 IDK why you’re trying so hard to pretend to be someone you’re clearly not. It’s straight-up misleading, borderline identity fraud, and honestly just cringe. Even actual IAS officers don’t feel the need to plaster IAS in their names, so what exactly are you trying to prove?

@johnstanly People across the nations screamed ‘Free Palestine’. But when it came to actually doing something, which state stepped up? It was Iran and its axis of resistance. And now the very powers that backed the genocide are the ones bombing Iran. you can clearly see who’s standing where

Was talking to a senior foreign policy wonk, with close ties to RSS, on Friday. I found it very interesting that I am writing the gist here--with his permission, but without naming him. He said the war is the single largest threat to India's economic rise since the early 1990s. He is "personally" not happy with the way India responded to the conflict. "Iran is a civilisational friend. We should have condemned the assassination of Khamenei and expressed our condolences sooner. We should have condoled the killings of the sailors, maybe without naming the US. They were our guests. That would have been the right position." He also expressed dismay over the killing of the Supreme Leader. "How can it be acceptable? Killing a head of the state, killing a religious leader, by foreign powers?" I asked him about Pakistan's growing role in West Asia -- both as a strategic defence partner of Saudi Arabia and as an interlocutor between Iran and the US. "That's exactly why I say India should stay neutral. This is a highly unstable region where we have a lot of strategic and economic interests at stake. I am all for deepening partnership with Israel. But we can't be seen allying with only one side." He appeared more critical of the US than Israel with regard to the current war. "America is not bothered about any of its partners. Why should we tolerate American hegemony in our neighbourhood when the world is becoming more multipolar? This war has also busted several myths about America and its military power. Iran singlehandedly attacked all American bases in the region. Did anyone come to defend the Arabs?" What should India do? "Protect strategic autonomy. Diversify energy sources. And strengthen ties with our civilisational partners, instead of blindly following the line from Washington."

@ias400043 @muslim_1065 @Silentdesk23 @Nehrwho20 Why don’t you put this same energy into actually cracking the IAS instead ? And TBH, putting “IAS” in your username is just lame and straight-up misleading. You’re not an IAS officer, so why are you pretending and flexing like one? It just screams fake and desperate.

@muslim_1065 @Silentdesk23 @polinerdd @Nehrwho20 Bramhan are teachers, one is not bramhan by birth, one is bramhan by their character and philosophy. Matanga was humble and he considered that he was not in match with Acharyas and the pure devotees of god, which is a common trait of pure devotees, they are always humble.

Finance Minister compares situation in India to Pakistan and Bangladesh, says India faring better than its neighbours in the current energy crisis.
Nirmala Sitharaman Office@nsitharamanoffc

What is happening in Pakistan? 200% hike on high octane fuel, 20% hike on petrol and diesel happened overnight. Petrol now is sold at 321 PKR a litre. Smart lockdowns announced in Sindh province, so that their fuel can be conserved. Restricting movement, gatherings and public events. Schools are shut for two weeks. Government offices have moved to four day working week. Private offices told to shift 50% staff to work from home. We're not doing any of it. Still some leaders are spreading rumours that there will be lockdown. This rumour mongering should not happen. It's being done to spread fear. Markets and shopping centres are ordered to be closed by 9.30 PM in Pakistan. These are all the media reports. All universities shut down and shifted to online learning in Bangladesh as there's no electricity. Five hour rotational power cuts are happening. Implemented for domestic consumers in the city of Dhaka. Fuel station across Dhaka closed due to shortage of octane and diesel. So, the situation across the world is not good. We're managing in a way that our citizens don't face any difficulty. There's a contrast in price I want to say. In India, nothing has changed. Whereas in Pakistan, plus 20% to plus 200% price depending on petrol, diesel, high octane etc. Bangladesh has rationed stations closed, supply cut 10 to 15%. Excise duty action, we have cut Rs. 10 per litre. Neither Pakistan nor Bangladesh have responded. So, India among these neighbourhood countries is maintaining a level of stability. We're following Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji's guidance on the same. - Smt @nsitharaman in Rajya Sabha

@mandyarthur It is actually possible to control it heavily. US need to bring AIPAC under FARA (Groups acting on behalf of foreign govts.) AIPAC is not officially registered as a foreign agent, because it claims to represent American citizens’ interests, not a foreign government directly.

Clearly, Joe Kent should never had been anywhere near U.S. intelligence, let alone the White House.  He is a thoroughly deceitful and deceptive operative who secreted himself into the Trump White House for the purpose of undermining it.  Despite his protestations in my interview with him and thereafter, the leak investigations (which are reportedly taking place) must continue and the extent to which he may have used not just classified information but any confidential information, and with whom, must be determined and exposed.  I doubt it is by coincidence or accident that Traitor Carlson issued his infamous video worried that his texts with the Iranian regime -- the enemy -- were being investigated.  How would he know that but for someone tipping him off.  And who might that be.  There's a lot here and let's hope it is all revealed.
