@planksandpieces @Just4Tweets1986 He’s simply just quoting Orthodox ministers where is the lie? Do you want me to tag Orthodox Christians on here who hold to PSA since you can’t believe anything a Protestant might say?

@Acolyte83349490 @Just4Tweets1986 Perhaps their formulations are not exact to a Protestant framework but the essence that Christ took on our punishment as our substitute has been there since the earliest fathers and has never ceased. This isn’t a western invention, it’s throughly patristic and biblical.

Uhm no. What occured was Catholic influence promoting Satisfaction theories and Lutheran influence primarily in Russia, which was picked up by various figures. Psa is not an aspect of the atonement. It is a model with its own explanatory mechanisms which are distinctly Protestant.

@Young_Anglican @calvinrobinson To my knowledge there are no cases where the child needs to be aborted to save the mother. If the mother is at risk doctors should work to remove the child and sustain their life whilst giving care the mother.

In her full speech, the so-called Archbishop of Canterbury said that the Church of England recognises “that there can be limited conditions under which abortion may be preferable to any available alternatives.” There are NO conditions under which abortion may be preferable. None
Right To Life UK@RightToLifeUK

The Archbishop of Canterbury warns that making it no longer illegal for women to perform their own abortions for any reason up to birth is legally, morally, and practically complex, and that rushing it through as an amendment, with minimal scrutiny, would be a mistake.

@Degenwillape How can you have Christ’s body and blood, while being seperate from His mystical body?

@forsman_josh @HosannaHosannaa Again another anti-PSA type that creates a completely false version of PSA as to disprove its orthodoxy. Just get out of the conversation if you’re not gonna be honest brother

@HosannaHosannaa Yea the condemnation was death, the separation of the human soul from its body. Because PSA says the condemnation was separation from God, specifically the Father, and posits to the Father an act of vengeance during the passion. Which is Nestorian/splits the Trinity

What you’ll notice from the “Anti-PSA” “Anti-Original Sin” crowd there’s never citations from the holy fathers or even citations of the supposed confession they’re attacking. It’s only ad homs, shifting goal post, or appeal to majority of online influencers lol

@pollo_jon @CharlesTheLessr @RyanHurst171 No, those are not salvation pre-requisites. We have communion and baptism to follow "in remembrance of Him" and as an outward indicator of our internal salvation. Baptism is post salvation not a requirement of it.

Presbyterian, if you can't say "Baptism Saves" (it does) then you not only need to re-read the reformers and our confessions, but you need to re-read scripture.

@MadDogSecondTry @CharlesTheLessr @RyanHurst171 It is required for salvation in the normative sense though not absolutely. God can work outside of his sacraments yet never the less, we should rely on baptism and the Eucharist to confer the salvation Christ has won for us. They are not empty signs they are means of salvation

@CharlesTheLessr @RyanHurst171 1 Corinthians 1:17 “Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel.” If baptism were required for salvation, Paul wouldn’t separate it from the gospel itself.

@InakiLonga @Cobylefko That’s not Roman architecture at all, classical architecture is timeless because there are infinite forms of it and has been applied in all sorts of European, American, Asian, African styles because its universal.

@Cobylefko [Unpopular Opinion] These are all 21st-century reconstructions trying to replicate the best they could the original buildings from centuries earlier. Might look pretty but it's like building Roman architecture in a US city: it's fake.

Almost everything in this image was built in the last 30 years. Building beautiful cities is a choice, one that so many places have curiously shunned

As useful as the Book of Mormon. The Catholic Church was the only Christian church in the first 450 years of Christianity. All the Church Fathers were members of the Catholic Church and had Catholic beliefs that you reject. You twist or cherry pick quotes and beliefs out of context from Catholic Popes and Catholic Church Fathers to "prove" Protestant beliefs somehow existed with particular individuals even though you reject everything else they believe because they are Catholic. However, the historic reality is that the historic Christian church never believed your 16th century nonsense before the 16th century. So then Martin Luther RESTORED true Christianity that was lost for millennia. Congratulations. You are no different to a Mormon.

It's unfortunate that the term "Confessional Lutheran," is often used to denote tribal identity rather than, you know, actually believing and teaching what is present in the Lutheran Confessions.

@TruthCop1717 @redeemed_zoomer Of course we are not saved by works, baptism is not a work we do. It's a work God does unto us. None of those verses speak of baptism except Titus 3:5 which I would say is implied by the washing of regeneration. Look at the verses about baptism if you want to know what it is.

@pollo_jon @redeemed_zoomer We are saved by grace through faith, NO works. (Eph 2:5, 8-9, Acts 15:19-11, 16:31, Rom 5:9-10, 10:9-13, 1 Cor 15:1-2 2 Tim 1:8-9, Titus 3:5)

@shebringsjoy Once again the Reformed hold that we feed upon the very substance of the body and blood of Christ. What is received by the faithful is the same how it’s received is the difference in our theology.

@TruthCop1717 @redeemed_zoomer Where is the that in the scriptures because all find when I look up baptism in the Bible is how it unites me to Christ, forgives my sins and saves me. This is the historic Presbyterian position contrary to what you think.

@redeemed_zoomer Uh, no. Baptism doesn't save. It is the first work of obedience done by the saved, as the proclamation of their rebirth and resurrection in Christ.
