There should be some sort of penalty scheme for leaving roadworks signs and cones behind, because it is so endemic that it's reliably predictable. Roadworks completed. The process of getting rid of the signs begins. #abandonedsigns#roadworks#utilities#se26#sydenham#bellgreen
@1ChrisFletcher@ldaviesmusic If driver behaviour around the school is poor, that puts children at risk too. That should always be a concern for HTs and I have witnessed them take on this cause passionately. Why apply limited thinking to this situation that it’s unreasonable, unlikely etc? Lives can be saved
@ldaviesmusic Your post was about the bad driving of a fellow parent, you didn't say anything about traffic around your school. IMO you're unreasonable to expect the HT to police the interactions between adults outside of the school - they already have enough to worry about regarding children.
@Morrayz@cleanupbritain@NationalHways A lot of what you see is from contractors which should be well within the influence of national highways, but they can’t even manage that.
BRITAIN'S MOTORWAYS ARE COVERED IN LITTER @NationalHways makes all sorts of excuses for their failures. Use this reporting tool on their website to report litter, damaged signs, abandoned equipment. Keep checking for evidence they've sorted the problem.

@KirstieMAllsopp@juliahobsbawm Please don’t underestimate the positive impact for gender equality and for plenty of other groups who otherwise find the office a barrier to work. Choice is everything
Despite the views of @juliahobsbawm who I respect enormously, nearly 5 years since the 1st Lockdown, I’ve come to the conclusion that working from home does not work for the majority of people. Business have shifted responsibility for finding a place to work onto homeowners &
@MG6pii@bushontheradio There are biodegradable ones which are ok to chuck into the bushes. Bag degrades in a few weeks into organic material. Dog shit joins all the badger, fox, bird, mouse and squirrel shit.
@bushontheradio Please do trying to cram rubbish into an already over full park bin, only for it to fall on the ground moments after they have walked away- hoping the rest of the rubbish all over the ground.
@bushontheradio Today we were in hospital waiting room where all the people are waiting for radiation for cancer, mainly on their brain. It’s also where you rest after. There was a mother, teen and toddler - each had a phone playing a different TV show out loud with no headphones. SOOO RUDE!!!!
@millwallboy8111@JoRigby_Balham I also left London with this being a primary reason. It absolutely does affect your mental health. And it’s not just estates, it’s everywhere in London. Horrible.
@JoRigby_Balham One of the reasons I left London. No sense of pride in the area. The whole place is treated like a hotel. Talking about mental health it will vastly improve if you move out.
