I accidentally stopped a robbery in a restaurant once. I saw patrons cowering under tables. My eyes scanned across the room. My slow gaze met the robber’s as I slurped up my spaghetti. Pride. I was mortified that my deafness put me in this position. And pissed at myself. I refuse to let them see how stupid I felt. I apparently did not hear the commotion. I kept chewing on my noodles. And I slurped a long one in my mouth. I kept the eye contact. He ran out, nearly dropping his rifle. Later when he was caught, he told cops there was a lady who was freaky. She was so calm and collected. (He didn’t know I couldn’t hear.) “She was just sitting there. Eating her spaghetti. Ain’t nothing gonna come between her and that spaghetti.”

I saw a SUPER rare sighting today as our Minnesota temperature drops from -40° windchill to -50°. It wasn’t sundogs or exploding trees or unusual wind patterns in the snow or ice formations or anything like that. Our 17 yo son was wearing his coat.

@esjesjesj I was born and raised in Minnesota and lived through many -20 degree days and never once saw a tree explode. I kind of feel like I was ripped off.

@PeggiBosquez At least 73 during the day. 68 at night. My husband likes it warmer but I tell him he can put more clothes on.

We we are a house divided. My husband would love the temperature in the house to be at 72° + during the winter. I am perfectly comfortable with it at 68. I would like it even cooler at night. What are yall comfortable in? Yes it's a thing. 🤣

My grandson is having his tonsils and adenoids removed as we speak. Us three adults are a wreck. He was seeing unicorns when he went back. Good drugs. But this was a feature that was unexpected. Because I am real, today is a hard one for me. It's my oldest daughter's birthday. I miss her! She's chosen the drug life. Don't come at me with bs. She has had every single opportunity to make changes. Maybe someday she will. I still love her and miss her!

If you see a teenager in an empty parking lot doing donuts or drifting, don’t call the police on them. If you are worried about them just observe. The kids are gonna learn best on how to travel in snow and slick weather by having a little fun in it. They will learn how to correct the vehicle and how their vehicle acts when we have this type of weather. I know I learned best when a few friends and I went to do the same thing. It taught me so much about how vehicles respond to this weather and road conditions. I’d rather my kid learn in an empty snow covered lot then crashing on the road or highway.

I spoke to a farmer from NE who has a $500,000 Covid EIDL loan. He is behind since May and it's going to collections. He's losing $200k+ this year due to tariffs. He loves Trump and hopes he bails them out. My heart breaks for him. I don't find joy in his pain. It sucks.
