People used to understand that representing your country as a politician is an honour - one bestowed upon you only by the citizens believing in your legitimacy; for if you betray that trust they place in you they will hold you accountable. The current crop of politicians is entirely disconnected from the reality of the time period we have arrived at. We are on the cusp of what I predict will be the most explosive Fourth Turning in human history. The entire monetary system is fiscally unsustainable and quite literally on the verge of collapse, the population is ageing, we are so close to artificial general intelligence I can smell it (meaning the nature of ALL jobs is now in jeopardy within a few short years), and what do we get in return? We get the dumbest fucking idiots in government in the history of this country. To say they are dumb wouldn't even do it justice. They are spineless - total cowards. Better to be a retard with integrity than a genius without it, but they have neither. They have imported over a million foreigners into this country during the worst housing crisis in the history of this country. There is not a sane person on Earth who could look you in the eye and tell you it's possible to properly vet that many people. They've recklessly endangered Australian citizens to line their own pockets and keep themselves in power. They've watched as people can't find rentals, are struggling to pay their mortgages, and are becoming homeless, destitute and hopeless in the lands their forefathers fought and died for. And now they're watching as the social cohesion completely frays, with extremist terror like the horrible, radical Islamic Bondi Terrorist attack, and what are they doing? Talking about gun laws? The public has had a fucking gut full of this lot. If they had an ounce of integrity left in their hearts they would resign in absolute disgrace. They should be shamed into compliance with the only true thing that makes any government legitimate: The will of the people. The people don't want any of this. Anthony Albanese and his entire cabinet should resign and consider themselves lucky the public has allowed them to steal from them for so long.
