What is your best logical argument for the existence of God? I have two arguments that are very compelling... Argument number 1: The universe must logically have had a beginning. If it had a beginning, then that beginning must have had a cause. That cause must be outside of this universe and outside of time. An eternal, all powerful source. In other words, God. The other option would be that the universe, time and matter was eternal. Which would per definition place it in the category of supernatural, which is absurd. Argument number 2: If good and evil exists, that means God must also exist. Why? Because God is what gives the ultimate compass for what is objectively good and evil. Without God, an higher power that is all knowing and perfect, moral laws become subjective to each one of us. You cannot have moral law without a moral law giver. We can observe and logically understand that objective moral laws do indeed exist. We can clearly see that evil, that which goes against the objective moral law, does exist. Therefore good, that which follows the objectively moral law, must also exist. And if those are true, therefore then, God exists.

@yesiwetmyplants Good works only happen after God has saved a sinner. They will be a new creature in Christ. The good work will be getting the gospel out. It is the gospel that saves sinners. God bless

@BIG_J222 Freewill isn’t in the bible, mankind is spiritually dead and incapable of coming to God on His terms. God does all the work of saving sinners. He gave us the law, and fulfilled the law in the person of Jesus. God will draw a sinner back to Himself through His word the bible.

If freewill is the reason God doesn’t intervene… Then why did He intervene so much in Bible stories?

@Toneskeee Its not called Calvinism, its the doctrine of election/predestination. God used the nation of Israel as a picture of His chosen people. The Jews God has in view are spiritual Jews, those that have had their hearts circumcised, Deuteronomy 30:6, Ezekiel 36:25-28,Romans 2:29

A big misunderstanding that I see is people claiming that we as Calvinists think we are better as the elect, in and of ourselves, than the reprobate. We do not believe this. At all. We believe God chooses whom He will save based solely on His will, not human merit or foreseen faith.

@TChapman500 You cannot have one without the other. Genesis to Revelation is the word of God.

Anyone who says that the NT overrules the OT is a false teacher. If the NT even tried to overrule to OT, the NT would be false teaching. God's law is eternal and cannot be overruled by anything.

@HansFiene Neither are means of salvation. God’s only means of drawing and saving sinners is through His word the bible. Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

Saying “baptism doesn’t save because the thief on the cross wasn’t baptized” is the equivalent of saying “the Lord’s Supper isn’t necessary because Abraham didn’t celebrate it.”

Any religious belief that takes your eyes off the cross and puts them on yourself, making your perseverance or works the reason you're saved, is false. It replaces God as the author and finisher of our faith with the sinner. Instead of seeing perseverance as God's work in you, it treats it as something you must supply to be accepted

@pimomormon They spiritually died, plummeting the whole human race into sin. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death;but the gift of God os Eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God said Adam and Eve would “surely die” the same day they ate the forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve almost lived (according to the Bible) for a thousand years. And we’re told that god tells the truth?

@JustinBerkobien God did created everything in six days and on the 7th day He rested. the 7th day points to the 7th day sabbath in which we rest in the work of the Lord for our salvation.

Trying to wrap my head around the Christians who read Genesis and are convinced the universe was created in six literal days but then read Matthew and assume when Jesus said “those who live by the sword die by the sword” he must have meant it figuratively.

The law obviously existed before Moses. How else did Noah know the difference between clean and unclean animals?

Why did people not believe in Jesus until about 2000 years ago?

@madlabrador_ @yesiwetmyplants Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation. God chose s people from the foundation and sometime in their life He will draw them back to Himself through His word. God will change their heart in order for them to believe, 36:25-28.Salvation is100% the work of God.

@yesiwetmyplants OSAS/Assurance of Salvation is illogical to the core. Unbiblical. Legalistic. It puts God under the obligation to save you without any proof/evidence of your belief in Him. It’s based on pride, amoral to hope and love.

I have full assurance that I’m going to heaven, not because of anything in me, but because my trust is completely in Jesus Christ and His finished work. He bore all my sins- past, present, and future and there isn’t a single one He failed or forgot to pay for in full. My confidence rests in Him alone. I know that the One who began a good work in me will bring it to completion. I will endure to the end, not by my own strength, but because God is faithful to preserve me. I am kept by His power through faith, and Christ won’t lose even one of those the Father has given Him. Nothing.. no failure, no weakness, no power in heaven or on earth, can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. I am His sheep, and I hear His voice. He holds me securely, and no one can snatch me out of His hand. My assurance isn’t in my performance, but in His promise. My prayer is for anyone reading this to also rest in Christ and hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful🙏🏼🤍

@AwakenedOutlaw The corporate church is the last place you want to be. The church came under the judgment of God in 1988. If you you desire knowledge of God read the bible prayerfully.

In my humble opinion, a church isn't a requirement to having a relationship with God.

Baptism doesn’t save you. The blood of Jesus does.

@RevesJM Jesus is God, He said it is finished. He left the body and went back into heaven.

Biblically, death is the loss of conscious human function. Jesus experienced this. He was dead for three days. God does not die.
