I don’t enjoy making tweets like this, but I want to express my genuine frustration with these changes and why so many of us find them concerning. I firstly want to start off by saying Roblox is an incredible platform that has allowed millions of developers & creators to express creativity, build communities, and even turn passion projects into careers. That’s exactly why decisions like this are SO frustrating, as we care deeply about what the platform represents. What’s hard to understand is Roblox forcing multiple features that has been overwhelmingly received negatively onto every user, while refusing to meaningfully engage with feedback beyond internal discussions. They’re a core part of Roblox’s identity and history & removing them entirely erases years of user expression in favor of a vision many users have clearly rejected. This also impacts thousands of UGC creators, who must rework art direction around decisions they didn’t expect. There has also been a very clear pattern: a controversial update is pushed, backlash follows, partial action is taken, praise is received for “finally listening”, and then another widely disliked change rolls out soon after. We’ve seen this cycle before, for instance situations like Schlep where action is only followed AFTER heavy public pressure. People aren’t upset because they hate Roblox, they’re upset because they love it and want it to be better. Respecting user choice and preserving legacy features would go a long way toward rebuilding trust.

Roblox will be fully REPLACING classic faces and making them dynamic. 🤦‍♂️ THEY ARE REMOVING CLASSIC FACES. It doesn't matter if you originally owned the 2D version, it will be removed from the catalog
