I confess to using kiddos as figleaf to pass/get better treatment (also am white). But @AmericanAir claims score of 100 on @HRC and yeah, I DON'T THINK SO.

I'd used all my miles to upgrade seats, b/c kiddos, and xcountry flight. I've cancelled my @AmericanAir credit card & will avoid this airline at all costs. I'm already nervous flying b/c misgendering, "genital anomaly" security searches, bathrooms, etc. 5/

I gave feedback about this to @AmericanAir - their response: "we recognize that your experience did not meet the level of customer service you expected and I truly hope you will accept my sincere apology for the disappointing service you received." No amends whatsoever. 4/

#TW #transphobia #homophobia I, spouse, 2.5 yo, 9 month, @AmericanAir DTW-PHX. Seats weren't together, but checkin agent told us to ask at gate. Gate agent told us to ask on plane. Boarded, smiled, said hi, & asked flight attendant abt seats. She yelled, called us liars?, 1/

to sit down. Took off, we were shaking, pretending to be calm for kiddos sake. Person next to me apologized for what happened. @AmericanAir Flight attendant ignored us, brought water etc. to other passengers but not us. Eventually spoke to us, sharply, repeatedly misgendering. 3

told us to stand aside, called security, continued to shout at/about us. We did nothing, were stunned & didn't want to escalate, esp. w/ kiddos in tow. Passengers watched open-mouthed, one offered to swap so cd sit together (all we'd asked for in 1st place), security told us 2/
