Today’s boomer struggle meal: leftover Tuscan white bean soup with kale and sausage and some toasted fresh sourdough with butter. Cost: maybe a buck. Better than anything you could get at Panera for $20. Gen Z: but you need a pot to cook soup! Me: every normal adult has a soup pot Gen Z: lots of people are too POOR to have a pot. Just spent two weeks at Florida beaches. Here’s what I observed: - Tons of kids - Economy is in full bloom. Lots of yachts in the water - Most people are obese - Restaurants packed and it’s not even June - People drive slower than people in Seattle… - Tons of Christians - Gen Z definitely has not given up alcohol. Local beach bars were insanely packed. Drinks flowing! - Not a single Tesla - Zero tattoos - Lots of new construction including thousands of beachfront custom homes - Crazy high number of families using an expensive photographer to do beach photoshoots Recession cancelled!

Not enough people are talking about this. A Florida airport was renamed after Donald Trump. He walked away with the trademark, the licensing rights, and a deal that lets him profit off every piece of merchandise sold there. But the story of how he got it is even worse. County staff told commissioners that rejecting the name change would put state transportation funding at risk. DeSantis has already removed state attorneys and school board members who dared to cross him. That is the reality the Democratic commissioner who cast the deciding vote was living in when she made her choice: hand Donald Trump control of a public airport or watch Florida Republicans strip funding from the very people she was elected to represent.
