I've decided to treat Scottish nationalists and their silly arguments in favour of independence in the same way that I treat flat earthers and Moon landing deniers: just ignore them; you'll only encourage them.

@gorbalsgoebbels This is democracy working. Scotland wants a vote on independence. By denying this option, then democracy has failed and independence must be taken another way.

If you think about this logically are the SNP seriously suggesting that Scots and Britons are held to ransom every time there’s an election? That, is NOT democracy. Why? Losers consent is vital. SNP have not respected 2014 once. They started agitating for a rerun days after.

The noteworthy thing about Wes Streeting's dismissal of Scottish democracy isn't that he said it, it's been said before by BritNats, but the Scottish media's indifferent response. These neo-colonial put downs should be debated. They should be analysed. They should be the subject of documentaries and the focus of news headlines. They should be condemned. Instead they're just parroted as though a legitimate position for a Westminster Govt in a so-called voluntary Union. Interviewers taunt the SNP with "What ya going to do about it eh?" The international community must reply that the English colonial state must leave Scottish territory and end its annexation and territorial alienation of Scotland. Scotland's decolonisation has started through United Nations processes. Annexation is a supreme crime in international law. The English coloniser must end its illegal occupation of Scotland.
