Before the Soviets occupied the Baltic states, the latter had—oh, what a surprise—top-tier schools, universities, hospitals, factories, agricultural complexes, highways, ports, airports, and low-rise residential neighborhoods in the Western style. We ALREADY had all that. The Soviets, having gotten themselves entangled in a romance with the Nazis that ended tragically, simply had to rebuild some things after the war. They themselves took part in the destruction and annihilation. We won’t even mention the terror, executions, deportations, and persecution—it’s beyond your primitive, worm-like mind to comprehend.

english explanation: the võro language is now available in the latest minecraft snapshot. while a descendant of estonian, it is its own language with around 72k native speakers. it's a really fun language to read/learn if you already know another finno-ugric language.

@zeppster @not_a_jug Estonia was part of Sweden and Denmark for longer than Russian Empire and the Soviet Union combined. Moreover, the time under the Russian Empire was a time of rule for the German nobility in Estonia, not Russia proper.
