@bleasdalefamily As a senior at this school everything when through the district we never would have had an assembly if the administration and district didn't believe it was a good idea. This was the first time in over 2 years our school has been able to all be together and be an actual family.

I’ve long been perplexed by why design schools do not teach business skills when so many designers end up self-employed. Someone was always going to fill that void and that someone is @theChrisDo and @thefuturishere. 1.8m YouTube subs and rising fast! youtu.be/J6Su5Vx3x5U

@fortboise It’s generally “penalties and interest” and the penalty can be whatever they feel like ascribing to that crime. That’s how it works with tax issues too.

Mississippi is threatening to sue Brett Favre, the Hall of Fame quarterback, if he does not repay $828,000 that he owes within 30 days. Favre and others are being asked to repay tens of millions of dollars connected to an extensive welfare fraud scheme. nyti.ms/3p4o9sn

There is a crisis in marketing that most are ignorant of. Zero strategy and non existent briefing skills. Ad agencies have known about both issues for decades. Now data collection firms it. my column for @MarketingWeekEd discusses it: marketingweek.com/mark-ritson-be…

@rachelmercer @zoescaman @farrahbostic It's not always that overt, either. It's as insidious as asking "don't your children miss you?" when you travel for work or are at the office late. It's how the exhaustion gets layered on over time and amazing women take themselves out of the industry as soon as they can.

When I was coming up in this business I used to wonder why I continued to see smart, good women leaving it altogether or moving to independent work like @farrahbostic. Because having a family didn’t really seem to be a core part of many equations. It was nice to be that naive.
Farrah Bostic@farrahbostic

For me it started with the head of the Apple account at TBWA\Chiat\Day calling me a part time woman of no importance, & it ended with the head of the Samsung account at Digitas “making an example of me” for being late to a meeting (bc my mom called to tell me my uncle had died.)

@zoescaman So we can't have boozy nights out without fearing that we'll be assaulted? The punishment for a boozy night should be the same for men as for women...a wicked hangover...that's it. #janedoe #knowmyname
