jumping on the OpenClaw trend here. goal #1 is for my agent (@Thorin_agent ) to generate its first $10 in revenue. the first challenge I encountered: was quickly rate limited by Anthropic, so I asked Thorin to build this dashboard to have visibility of token burn

Almost 8 years ago the founders of Kalshi made what so many told them was the dumbest decision of their lives. Today that stupid decision is worth $11b. Kalshi lore is worth studying for early founders. I wanted to join the team because of it. In 2018 the team gets into YC. @mwseibel actually thought the idea was near-impossible. Despite the idea seeming crazy YC saw the potential in the founding team and gives Kalshi a shot. Rumor has it this was the last time Tarek smiled. @apartovi is also one of Kalshi's first believers. Neo has a an insane track record in finding goated founder early. Their formula is really simple. Find founders who are: - Intelligent - Have high agency - Naive <--???? Neo has found a pattern great founders possess. They are naive enough to think they can take on the impossible journey ahead of them. I say this with minimal hyperbole - Kalshi has done the impossible. Building an exchange requires so many complex variables to work perfectly in unison. To do this from scratch while having to sue the US government to go live is insane. I want to vomit thinking how difficult it would be to replicate what Kalshi's has done (which a few companies are trying). Could you imagine how disgustingly difficult it would be to invent the playbook. What makes someone naive enough to think they can do the impossible? Conviction. No sane person is spending their 20's learning about derivative laws. It requires an insane level of conviction. I can't say for certain what gave the founding team so much conviction but my hypothesis is the following: - The category in which Kalshi operates in is the $19.8T derivatives market. If they get this right the sky is no longer the ceiling. - Kalshi solves for strong unmet demand. Traders want to trade directly on event outcomes but can't. - If millions of market participants are rewarded for their truth seeking behavior. Kalshi can aggregate a data point on collective belief. Something non market participants benefit from tremendously (ex: Election Forecasts on Kalshi). My biggest takeways from working with this exceptional team: 1. Fight the hard fights - the growth and reward for difficult journeys are long tailed but exponentially better than the easy linear journeys. 2. Be naive enough to think you can do the impossible. Conviction and belief that you can rise to the challenge is necessary. 3. Still unsure on whether or not you have to give up smiling to be successful - still going through the data here

@TheCinesthetic This ending was nothing short of a masterpiece - Art in its purest form. The way this director tied the ending to a story once told decades before, is magestic. Gives me goosebumps to think of it

Piers Morgan just aired a sick 50-second montage exposing TikTok users celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death. Don’t forget who cheered a man’s death for politics. Make these people famous.

RIP Charlie. Amazed at your tenacity and passion with only 31 years. I pray that God holds your family today and everyday. May your kids grow forever knowing that their dad was an amazingly brave man who lived his life enormously. God bless your soul

In the first 5 years of @airwallex, we made a massive hiring mistake. We brought in people with impressive résumés – ex-bankers, payments veterans, people who had worked on the SWIFT network. On paper, they looked perfect. In practice, they nearly broke our culture. They had a lot of experience, but they weren’t builders. They knew how things used to work, not how things should work. What we really needed were people who were curious, determined, and optimistic, who believe in the vision. We didn’t hire for that early enough – and we paid the price. Morale took a hit. Momentum slowed. It was painful to go through. The lesson? Hire for belief, grit, and the ability to build – especially early on. Because in a startup, mindset scales faster than experience. And the wrong hires can cost you more than just time – they can derail your culture.
