We congratulate @lisanandy on continuing as @DCMS Secretary of State but hope this will provide impetus to urgently address the deeply flawed and unfair decision around charity lottery limits - which Ministers' acknowledge would deliver millions extra for British charities

Awful from @DCMS today. A failure to put the needs of the most vulnerable first and actively blocking the wishes of many of Britain's biggest charities. People’s Postcode Lottery can still grow, but awards will now be dictated by legislation, not charitable need 👎

Last Friday, I had the Second Reading of my Private Member's Bill to lift the cap on the number of lottery tickets society lotteries can sell to fundraise for charity. You can read more about the Bill and how the debate went here: buff.ly/4he5OkR

Many thanks to @JoePJRobertson for his & @Conservatives strong support for @wendychambLD's Private Members Bill seeking to remove the charity lottery sales limits and thus boost funding to our supported charities.

We were pleased to see our @ACLEU_Lotteries 2022 report, researched by @RegulusP, mentioned in the @HouseofCommons by @wendychambLD in a debate on charity lotteries.
