In forty-eight hours, Trump will board his flying office building hauling a collection of the world’s most powerful nerds, including Elon Musk and Tim Cook, to Beijing. The media is doing that thing where they treat a global chess match like a Lifetime movie, claiming Trump is going over there to "beg" Xi Jinping for a favor because Iran is mean. That is, as they say, a load of manure. But anyway, while Trump was munching his second filet-o-fish, oil prices did a line of coke and jumped to $110. Now, the pundits think Trump is walking into China like a guy whose car broke down in a bad neighborhood, hoping Xi will give him a jump-start. In reality? Trump is the one guy who owns the only jumper cables in the hemisphere. Here's the harsh reality for China: their oil imports just fell off a cliff. Why? Because Trump basically put a giant "Out of Order" sign on Iran's cheap oil machine. He sanctioned the Chinese "teapot refineries" and parked twenty warships at Hormuz like a very expensive version of those Just Stop Oil morons (But Trump is stopping oil for real!). Less energy means manufacturing prices go up, so China is currently choking on inflation. Gasoline is up 19%. But why did Trump tag along Musk and Cook? well, He brought them because they are two living Americans who have dealt with China's manufacturing hell and survived. Not only survived, but thrived. As for Meta, that's the "choke point" for Chinese exports. If Zuckerbergo flips a switch, Temu can't sell $4 jeans to moms in Iowa anymore. No ads, no sales, no CCP budget. Trump's offer is simple: "I will let you breathe again if you buy our soybeans, our Boeings, and stop acting like a jerk with rare earth minerals." Xi can’t say no. He’s looking at his inflation numbers and realizing he’s holding a pair of deuces while Trump is sitting there with an ace up his sleeve, a billionaire tech-squad behind him, and a very large boat blocking the oil. If Xi signs the papers by Friday, American manufacturing gets a win, the dollar stays king, and Iran loses its only friend with a wallet. If he doesn't? Well, then things get really interesting. It’s amazing how the most lethal, accurate, and technologically advanced military in the world, able to put a missile down a ventilation shaft, is all of a sudden hitting hospitals and killing babies. It’s almost as if they aren’t and it’s all propaganda from country who kill their own citizens.

The biggest cost of this campaign is the munitions that will be expended and potential depletion of stockpiles that will be needed to defend Taiwan. Bridge Colby knows this. Hegseth knows this. The reason this is being done anyways is because if successful you have now locked down Chinas major energy artery. This in-turn further deters China from ever trying to take Taiwan. And normally china knowing this would rush to support the current Iranian regime. The reason they haven’t is because of tariffs. Not the tarrifs on China. The transhipment clauses in the deals with every other country besides for China. China knows if they overtly interfere they equip the Trump admin with sufficient evidence to get buy-in for an all out adversarial posture against China irrespective of the economic consequence. When I said “economic blitzkrieg” a year ago this is what i meant. The world is a complex machine and everything is intricately connected. Some of you just aren’t curious enough to learn how and why. It’s not too late. USMCA coming soon. Mexico will be tamed before then. Canada will be crushed. Cuba prob falls within months. Africa will heat up again. Europe will fragment. Change is coming 🫡

Seceding to Canada? That's less a serious proposal and more a flare gun shot into the political sky, a dramatic way to say, "We feel utterly disconnected from Washington." But trading one federal system for another just trades one set of compromises for a whole new rulebook. Would Ottawa even want that headache?
