@Divineloaf @writcertiorari It’s clear that if you do it fast and covert enough, your possession is normalized and gives you an incredible amount of leverage. We would be stupid not to.

@writcertiorari Let me get this straight..... You want us to start developing the bomb, while getting closer ties to China, and antagonizing the US? I don't think the Iran strategy is a good idea, unless you want to speed run invasion.

199ms ping is insane wtf. For reference anything over 20-50ms is usually considered unplayable lag for most esports games and they are doing robotic telesurgery with 200ms!?! That’s so slow and laggy how do you even do that!? Wow.
ACERVO@AcervoCharts

Médico brasileiro realizou a telecirurgia robótica de maior distância já registrada no mundo, operando um paciente a mais de 12 mil km. O procedimento teve um ping médio de 199 ms, considerado seguro.

We will not tire of repeating: Palantir is one of the greatest threats to the modern world. Palantir is a very big and very dangerous outfit. The company has been a genuine partner during the hardest times of a war for our existence. One of these quotes is from a wartime Ukrainian broadcast across 30 channels. One is from the chief spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. One is from a prominent British politician. See if you can guess which is which.

A new Chinese robotics startup, Light Origin, just showcased an impressive single-policy locomotion system. Even with one or both legs restrained, the robot remains mobile by hopping or crawling.

In broad daylight, a NYC McDonald’s becomes a war zone: a man harasses a woman’s child, and the mother is forced to beat him down herself because no one else will. This is your “safe” city, @NYCMayor @NYGov @NYPDNEWS — where law-abiding citizens must deliver street justice while predators operate with impunity.

@CoopTory I’ll give you an example: Coat of a pair of headphones in 2010 = $100 100 x 1.13 (hst/gst) = $113 ($13 in tax) Cost of the same pair of headphones in 2026 = $200 $200 x 1.13 (hst/ gst) = $226 ($26 in tax) The gov gets rich by causing inflation.

@DieseledDragon @aakashgupta If you interpret what was written correctly, you’d know 1B+ draws will now be more common and you, as an American, will have a greater chance of winning than previously at the same dollar amount jackpot to be won.

Powerball just ran the cleanest export deal in gambling. A UK ticket costs £4, about $5.35. A US ticket costs $2. Both put the exact same fixed dollar amount into the jackpot. And if a Brit wins, the cash option American winners get doesn't exist for them. Tonight's drawing is the first with UK players in the pool. The jackpot sits at $567 million. An American winner can take $251.8 million in cash tomorrow. A UK winner gets 30 annual payments administered by the National Lottery, with no lump sum option. The odds stay at 1 in 292.2 million for both countries. Powerball repeated that line in every press release, and it's true. It's also the least interesting part of the deal. Here's the mechanism. Lottery sales don't scale linearly with jackpot size. A $100 million jackpot is background noise. A billion-dollar jackpot is a national event that pulls in people who never play. Powerball has crossed $1.5 billion five times in the past decade, and those rollovers are where the revenue lives. That's what MUSL actually acquired. 49 lotteries now feed one number, and every £4 ticket in York or Manchester speeds the rollover toward the billion-dollar headlines that make American sales explode. Allwyn gets something too: EuroMillions is legally capped at €250 million. Powerball's record is $2.04 billion. They just started selling Brits a jackpot 8x bigger than anything Europe is allowed to offer. The first UK ticket sold at 5am in a shop in York. The buyer paid 2.7x the American price for the same 1-in-292-million shot, minus the cash option. The jackpot doubles as the ad budget, and 68 million Brits just started funding it at a premium rate.

The U.S. Powerball jackpot is going international for the first time, with players outside the United States able to participate beginning with tonight’s drawing.

The Great Leap Forward was a disaster but it pretty objectively wasn't a genocide. Genocide doesn't mean "killing lots of people," it means trying to wipe out an ethnic/cultural/religious group. Was Mao seriously trying to wipe out the Han Chinese??
