Many interventions “work” in small trials but fail at scale Also, EdTech often promises much, but delivers little In a new paper (bit.ly/3JKLgVn) @singhabhi & I show how personalized adaptive learning (PAL) software can sharply improve learning outcomes at scale🧵1/16

I had a deeply fulfilling meeting with the Honorable Prime Minister Modi ji at his residence, where we discussed the Veda, Maharishi, Transcendental Meditation, consciousness, and science. It was truly inspiring to witness firsthand the wisdom, knowledge, and deep care of a leader who supports not just India but the entire world family. The people of India are fortunate to have his guidance. Under his visionary and nurturing leadership, India is rising across many fields and playing an increasingly significant role in fostering global peace and harmony among nations. #consciousness #trascendentalmeditation @narendramodi

🌟 Yesterday, we witnessed young voices take the stage with confidence! 🌟 The Savitribai Phule Speaking Bee Competition was a celebration of talent, creativity, and courage. Students from Hari Vidya Bhawan, KPS Convent, Sainath Public School, Oxford Angel Public School, Surya Model School, and Sunshine Public School took the stage at the Indian School of Public Policy, showcasing their incredible public speaking skills. From Grade 1’s adorable cartoon character speeches to Grade 5’s persuasive roleplays, each performance was filled with passion! A special congratulations to our winners—Shravya (Grade 1) and Diya (Grade 3) from Hari Vidya Bhawan, and Bhushan (Grade 2), Harshita (Grade 4), and Shaurvi (Grade 5) from KPS Convent—but as Ms. Anju Jain beautifully put it, every child who stepped on stage was a winner! Our esteemed judges—Mr. Arnav Kumar Jain, Mr. Manu Sakunia, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Mr. Rohan Joshi, Ms. Anju Jain, and Ms. Anamika—reminded us that public speaking is more than just a competition; it’s about building confidence and preparing for the future. The event wrapped up with Dr. Amit Chandra applauding the work of the Language Learning Lab, ensuring 100% English proficiency for students. A huge thank you to the students, teachers, parents, and schools who made this event unforgettable! Let’s continue empowering young voices together. #SpeakingBee2025

Folks, this post has no images at Shakespeare’s birthplace. It has what it has…a ground report from Soron, the birthplace of our own Tulsidas…Advance apologies to those who rate Shakespeare higher. IMHO, Tulsidas is several notches above. The breadth of his work & its consequent impact of breathing Ram into the life of billions are unmatched lnkd.in/d5e2msjK — 𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐢’𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧 I want a quiet place to rest my rattled spine & savour the geniuses work, but imagination is my only ally. No memorabilia to spend even Rs 100. There’s only disposable tattoos for 10 bucks. I’m hungry after half a round of a Holy Kund where folks come to part with ashes & bones. The toss up is between deep-fried bread pakoras & ceding ground to flies straight from you know where. Failing to inject a rupee into the local economy, we make an image with Tulsi’s statue. He’s there, all of ~5 ft., but with gaudy credits on all sides. The lead credit is to one JM Lobo Prabhu, a DC in pre-1947 days. Local moneybags had chipped in Rs 501-Rs 3,501. There’s also Tulsi as wall art competing with “bandaron se saavdhan” stickers Jio works at 40 MBPS. I click on promises to Soron (map lnkd.in/dFCS82gi) the “next Ayodhya” lnkd.in/dZCiZvNB. Hmmm, for now there’s only a tractor & a dozen labourers balancing feature phones & sandbags I must stop before sounding like a santimonious Indophile Irrespective of who among Tulsi & WS is greater, shouldn’t we all ask why Stratford-upon-Avon is a multi-million-£ juggernaut of culture-vulture, while Tulsi born in the same era, is a living eg of disservice to our own man? Let’s remind ourselves how the Brits leverage the bard: A town of 30,000 spews £m~£500-700 mn in annual tourism revenue. It milks snob value in hanging out at the birthplace of Shakespeare & a package of fun things to do, nice accommodation, food & drink, shopping, & transportation. Indirect & induced economic gain inherent in literary adaptations are obvious enough And what of the ~2.5-3 mn visitors? My dipstick once indicated that many couldn’t remember even 5 titles from Shakespeare. They were there for selfies to mask their ignorance, willing to magnify the myth For dummies, there was the birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the Guild Chapel, Holy Trinity Church, &, of course, Avon, the river. The Royal Shakespeare Company alone was minting a truck load in ticket sales, merchandise, & hospitality. It hosted festivals & events through the year, eg the Birthday Celebrations & the Literary Festival. Local folks weren’t exiting to the cities. Their own town was a driver for Warwickshire at large Like many cultural destinations, Stratford-upon-Avon too had a downturn in COVID-19. The team smelled the coffee & adapted to visitor preferences lnkd.in/dT4RCXXP — Request — Come on, Team #IncredibleIndia — we can do better, no🙏🏽
