@DCinvestor Hmmm, 3.5 lbs of muscle in a month naturally? Idk…that number is pretty sus - even high for newbie gains. I’d double check your numbers. but regardless I’m glad you’re getting healthy.

in the past month, i've lost 6.4 lbs of fat and gained 3.5 lbs of muscle 💪 honestly very good results for my age. current protocol is: - lift heavy on Mon and Weds and flow + deep stretch yoga on Tues and Thurs. walk 10-20K steps on off days - cook 85% of my own meals with meal prep and rough meal portioning. moderate caloric deficit not rigorously tracked, but i estimate ~500 - protein, protein, protein. in addition to balance diet with protein-centric meals, i'm averaging 1.5 whey protein shakes per day

@iamrahstradamus @BillSimmons To be fair, regardless of my heavy dose of sarcasm I will retract my post if you can name me five jobs easier than podcasting. I've recorded a few. I just don't think it's heavy lifting. Levels to it of course, but tough.. nah

@iamrahstradamus @BillSimmons Of course! Podcasting is clearly one of the toughest jobs on the planet. Well done to the mighty few who can somehow manage to carry the tremendous weight of doing it.

As someone who’s been to @BillSimmons home and watched games with him and is in a text thread with a bunch of ringer staffers where we talk about games together, I can assure you guys, Bill IS watching these games. Besides the mistake didn’t change the point he was making. He’s NOT a box score watcher……..I just don’t think people realize how tough podcasting is and that anyone can make a mistake or have brain fart, even a GOAT like Bill who has 50 million things on his plate from running a company, being exec, doing a bunch of pods and having a family. He’s allowed to make a mistake.

in 80% of cases i already understand someone’s entire point after the first few seconds of them talking. this is fine but some nugguh’s just can’t be concise and they say something that can be said in 20 seconds in 2 min and that infuriates me i have truly adapted the way i talk as a result of this - when i explain a concept to someone i gauge how much they already know so i don’t repeat things they already know - if i have something longer to explain, i announce it beforehand (eg "okay, i’ll need to give a bit of background now, so it will be a monologue for the next 5 min, so i can build a logically coherent argument") - i try to ask questions or allow questions while talking so it is more interactive the only "mistake" i still often make is that i let someone know that i already know what they are about to say. i interrupt them by saying "i got it, move on" and to people who don’t know me it comes across as rude but it is just efficient the worst are people who can’t understand that some topics are interesting to them but not to others. this happens at crypto conferences a lot where people just shill you their project even though you just don’t care. if the other person is nice i wait for them to finish and then leave if they are so unaware that they don’t notice that they have been talking for over 2 min, i literally just turn around and leave mid sentence no need to be polite to people who are so unawake that they don’t understand how human communication works

Story time. I quit Magic few times, it was ALWAYS because after some time I just remembered that lands is a terrible system. The last time I quit it, I went to GP Manchester (or Paris, I can’t remember). But after playing the entire event I realised that 33% of my games at that event were decided by either me or my opponent not having enough or having too many lands. I realised I can’t be bothered to play a game where 1/3 of the game just doesn’t matter. That was my last time with competitive Magic. Edit: For comparison, in my years of playing FaB and SWU I remember like 2-3 games overall when bad draws were fully deciding a game.
Saffron Olive@SaffronOlive

Every TCG is going to have non-games. Non-games are the result of variance which is something TCG's need. Some people feel like Magic's non-games are worse because the variance comes from the mana system, so a MTG non-game is "you don't play you cards." In reality this is no more of a non-game than some Hearthstone card doing something random to kill you out of nowhere, but Magic takes more heat for it because it feels worse. It's basically the same concept as how in Commander you can Doom Blade your opponent's commander and it's fine, but if you counter it they get salty. The result is the same, but the Doom Blade gives you the illusion that you were actually making progress and doing something. It tricks you into thinking your decisions mattered, but really they didn't. Non-games in other TCG's do a better job of giving you this illusion, to tricking you into thinking that they aren't really non-games because you are taking game actions and doing things. But really they are the same as getting mana screwed.

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

I had 90%+ of my net worth invested in trading cards for 90% of my life and it's built a large amount of my wealth base that lets me do whatever I want now. Some advice on those just starting to put real $ in: - Don't chase trends, TCG is the most manipulated market in the world, moreso than crypto stay safu - Tha market for the absolute grail is totally detatched from the mid teir market, stay away fro mid tier stuff - Japanese 151 is a superior product to english 151 because it has masterballs and english doesnt - Don't put money into modern 10s, 90% of the 10s are still sitting in the PSA vault waiting to be graded, the pop will only go up. - Opening sealed product (especially vintage pokemon) is fun but always negative EV, don't convince yourself otherwise - If you see something and really want it get 2 or more chances are other people also really want it and its easier to flip one if you still get to keep one - Don't become emotionally attached to your collection everything should have a price you'd be willing to sell it. - The decision not to sell is the same as the decision to buy, if you wouldn't buy it for the price you can sell it for then sell it. - WOTC era pokemon > anything else pokemon - Is there something about this card that makes a reprint unlikely or unlikely to damage value? This is why serialized cards are great. Anything else I'm missing

@vohvohh @Demosthenes555 @RuggyFresh 200 users in a closed beta, likely incentivized to push volume doesn’t seem like a reliable sample that we can really forecast much with, does it? Maybe I’m underestimating the markets thirst for infinite casinos though. Time will tell

Legacy NFT Marketplaces will have to make a choice: - Continue burning cash forever to support a market that’s lost 80% of its volume + users Or - Pivot and find new TAM This decision makes the most logical sense from a business standpoint
Jack@0xLeoInRio

Update on @MagicEden and @DiceyHQ: It is clear we're entering a new era where finance and entertainment merge. We are now 2 months into @DiceyHQ’s closed beta and are incredibly bullish on how things have developed (~200 users, >$15M wagered). To give Dicey the focus it deserves, it’s time for us to go all in with the full scope of our talent and resources. Therefore, we are streamlining the Magic Eden marketplace to focus exclusively on Packs and Solana. With that lens, we are announcing a few changes to our product portfolio: 1// Betting: We are doubling down on @DiceyHQ to innovate in the crypto casino & sportsbetting space to capture the massive opportunity in iGaming. 2// Marketplace & Wallet: We are winding down support for our EVM marketplace (March 9), Bitcoin (Runes & Ordinals) marketplace (March 9), Bitcoin API (March 27), and the Magic Eden Wallet (April 1) 3// NFT Buybacks: We will be winding down NFT buybacks as they had minimal impact, and will instead shift our focus to ecosystem design and product initiatives, including the role future yield efforts towards the $ME token plays in that ecosystem. 4// $ME Token: $ME remains the central token of our ecosystem across Magic Eden and Dicey. As our product suite evolves, including Dicey, we expect $ME to remain an important part of how users engage across all of our products. Right now, our focus is on execution, product-market fit and scaling GTM for Dicey. We'll provide more clarity around $ME's integration into Dicey as the roadmap develops. Why is there a need to streamline our products? The 80/20 rule has become our reality: 80% of our cost are tied to products generating only 20% of our revenue. By winding down these products, we're refocusing on our Solana roots & retaining our most profitable products, betting on deep on crypto entertainment, and positioning our products for long term growth incl. the role of $ME token and our community plays within it. The future of ME is simpler, faster, and fueled by our original home on Solana and the success of Dicey. I can’t wait to share more about what we’re building at Dicey in the coming weeks.

This guy has had 12 agents building 24/7 for the past 2 months and ive yet to see something actually being built
Alex Finn@AlexFinn

Its so obvious the path this world is going down. So I spent another $10,000 My vision has never been clearer. Open source AI models are now equally if not more powerful than closed source ones We will soon all have private personalized super intelligent AI agents running locally on our desks 24/7 The people who don't do this in the future won't have as much economic power The people who do will have all the economic power in the world I'm going all in on this vision My 2nd Mac Studio has arrived. I have 2 more coming. I will have 4 Mac studios and a Mac mini running 5 concurrent OpenClaws with 7 different super powerful local models performing tasks 24/7/365 for me I will interface with them, and they will coordinate with each other. Talking, planning, building all hours of the day. No need for sleeping or eating. I will build a digital society humanity has never seen before I will push the limits of what is possible with AI agents and local intelligence. I will redefine what is possible for one person to achieve in a life time I will share everything I build and learn with you. It will be glorious. If you're reading this, the future is going to be incredible. But the thing is, it will only be incredible if you do something about it. Don't let society control you. Take control yourself. Break free from your shackles.
