If the special session of parliament approves 131 amendment of Constitution the historic changes will be made in a near future. Indian democracy going hyper! If the political differences are managed by the government India will have 815 Members of Parliament directly elected by people. And not more than 35 MPs from the ten Union territories.

We come from a country where Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had the moral clarity to create the Non Aligned Movement. Where Indira Gandhi stood up to the US to liberate Bangladesh. Where Atal Behari Vajpayee had the courage to defend Palestine. "Strategic silence" right now is nothing but cowardice - and I am sure most Indians will not bend down once again in servitude as cowards.

Visited Tirumala recently and faced a few concerns: Infants (below 1 year) and parents had to wait ~2 hours near Supatham, with total darshan time going up to 4 hours. Very difficult for babies. There should be a separate darshan slot/queue for infants with limited hours, similar to Break Darshan. Same facility should be extended to senior citizens. Roads near CRO office are not painted with white coating—walking barefoot is extremely uncomfortable. Kindly look into these issues @naralokesh ,@ncbn, @PawanKalyan, @BollineniRNaidu

Cricket musing: am I right when I surmise that the modern day batsmen are less equipped to play spin on a turning wicket than players of previous generation? Few reasons 1) harder hands because of white ball cricket 2) forward defensive technique affected by DRS rules 3) don’t get to face quality spin too often 4) tendency to loft the ball as a get out of jail shot 5) less patience 6) don’t play enough domestic cricket.
