@yashmehta94 So first vaccine to be approved should be an Indian produced vaccine.

AstraZeneca has 70% efficacy and Pfizer/Moderna has 95% efficacy. Still it is expected that India will give EUA to AstraZeneca first which Serum institute would be producing which is interesting considering a vaccine with only 70% efficacy is getting used for mass vaccination

@yashmehta94 And it's not like Pfizer/Moderna will never be getting the approvals, only later, plus if there's a vaccine people will rush in buying those, so it better be an Indian produced vaccine if we want rupee to be stable, too many factors to consider.

@yashmehta94 "Only " 70% but enough to ensure Herd immunity plus it can also be stored in higher temperature ranges with practically cheaper and higher production rate for India. It is a viable choice, but you've ignored the Russian vaccine which has about 92% efficacy and mass prodn eligible
