Alternative Education Coordinator Ryan recently took a trip to South Africa with the @premierleague and @zaBritish @PremierSkills, to develop the skills and confidence of teachers in schools and communities from the province of Mpumalanga 🇿🇦 @PLCommunities | #PLMoreThanAGame

Throughout the programme, teachers engaged in both classroom-based and practical training sessions designed to help them deliver effective and inclusive PE lessons.

38 teachers from Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga took part in the course in Burgersfort, and 38 teachers from North West and Free State joined the training in Kroonstad.

At the grassroots level, the Premier League has been running its Premier Skills programme with the British Council since 2007, continuing a long history of engaging with India’s passionate fans and football communities. Delivered across more than 18 Indian states, the programme has supported over 7,300 coaches, referees, and educators, benefiting 124,000 young people over 18 years.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗶, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 🇮🇳 The office will deepen engagement with fans and partners, promote football in India, and support the League’s growth.

Since 2009, the British Council and Premier League have supported more than 6,300 educators, coaches and referees from 28 cities across China, with almost 1.3 million school children benefitting from more engaging football, sport and physical education. premierleague.britishcouncil.org/stories/china
