I have an idea, Next year we shall have new Mps. Now that Kiira motors is up and running, Instead of giving each MP 300 Million to buy a Toyota. Lets have @rggoobi wire all the 165 Billion to @KiiraMotors in June this year in preparation for the new Mps. Each Mp will get a hybrid SUV(both fuel and electric) made in Uganda. After swearing in, we shall hand each Mp a copy of the constitution(as usual) and the keys to their new car. We shall be supporting a Ugandan company owned by us taxpayers, saving the environment since the cars are rechargeable and it will also be a free advert for Kiira with 527 of our own cars driving around town. We shall hit 3 birds with one stone. I beg to submit.

I guess the backlash against Amos Wekesa is that everything is always about himself. Ugandans can be brutalised by the army, but it doesn't concern him as long as tourists arrive in Uganda and go to HIS lodge. Such self-centredness is offputting to many people.

Kakooza Joseph raised his alibi belatedly during re-examination with the statement that "at the time of Mudhola's death, I was at Kyerima performing some traditional rites concerning my sister's twins". The prosecution did cross-examine him on this. Jane Nabakoza, a sister of Kazoora and who was dismissed by the Principal State Attorney as a useless witness, in effect supported his brother's claim that on 20th February, 1993 he attended the rites of her's twins at Kyerima with her family.

When George Oppong Weah came to Uganda in 1999, I broke into the away dressing room at Nakivubo stadium to meet him. He was in a foul mood because flight connections and traffic jam from Entebbe caused him to arrive just in time for the final whistle after Cranes beat Liberia 1-0 in an AFCON qualifier, courtesy of a Phillip Ssozi goal. The question on everyone’s mind was; would Uganda have won that match with him on the field? Knowing that many fans had wanted to see him in action —- and, as he said, because Uganda was one of the countries that voted for him to become World Footballer of the Year (now Ballon D’or, the only African player that has ever won that award) King George agreed to play in a friendly against Cranes the very next day. Liberia won the friendly match 1-0 with the only goal coming from…. you guessed right …. Weah (a superb free kick that flew past our goalkeeper like a meteorite). Weah was playing for AC Milan at the time and I was a sports journalist. He went on to become President of his country (2018-2024) and I went on to become…. (still loading)

The criticism against Hon. Anita Among for using a surrogate is not only ignorant but deeply disrespectful. IVF and surrogacy are life-changing options for families around the world It doesn’t matter who carries the child what matters is getting children… Ugandans need to know that the world has changed a lot..
