@PhillyInquirer trying to tell me how to get rid of belly fat when even their expert on staff says spot training isn't a thing. Is this news? Is this the best you can do? So gross.

@hels Wow, y’all are so encouraging! I just started @isshethintho with a first entry from, who else, Sally Rooney. Follow and let me know how the book you’re currently reading let you know the MC is, indeed, thin. 😂
@hels I want to start a twitter account called Don’t Worry She’s Thin and only tweet the specific sentence from every book that tells you that the heroine is slim. It’s always in there somewhere!
@jduffyrice “The context of my statement was obviously Christian Europe.” I’m gonna go ahead and assume that’s also the context of EVERYTHING HE’S EVER SAID. 😬😬😬
@Karnythia If someone describes their kids as "basically angels," I can pretty much guarantee their children throw sand in other kids' eyes and the parent never intervenes.
@PhillyMayor Try harder, my friend. Help these folks. And in the meantime, #StopTheSweeps . Then call off the cops, before they get intimidated by a tent pole and pepper spray everyone.
However, the activity we are seeing now at the camps is unacceptable and unsustainable. We are currently assessing all of our options while continuing to reach out to those who need help or shelter and connect them to services.
For many weeks, our administration has been working with the encampment residents to safely connect them to services and alternative housing options. In total, more than 130 campers have accepted temporary housing, rapid rehousing, safe haven, and treatment.
@PhillyMayor Seen you repeat the same tired temporary solution for people who need real problems for months. These aren’t the words of someone trying to offer real change, they’re talking points for wealthy white folks.
Today, we planned to make another attempt to connect people to services. Outreach workers and clergy members came to offer alternative housing, but protest leaders blocked access to the camps. They erected barricades, held up shields, and threatened violence and destruction.
Two political strategies.
One side:
Take accountability for the pandemic
Bring the economy back
Reestablish alliances
Provide economic support & jobs
Other side:
Slow down the mail
Based on contact tracing findings, @PHLPublicHealth recommends:
✅Avoid social gatherings of any size—even with family.
✅Avoid travel to the beach.
✅If you have symptoms, stay away from everyone.

@PPDCommish@PhillyMayor why were protesters filmed at the Student Union Rally? Where is that footage kept? What is it used for? Surely you can see how bad this looks—find it and destroy it. Then account for the behavior of the PPD.
@billy_penn I’m very curious to hear, from the SWAT officers’ perspectives, why they chose to their weapons at that particular moment. What changed? Why there?
The Philadelphia SWAT officer seen pulling down protesters’ masks and pepper spraying them on the Vine Street Expressway will face charges including simple assault and official oppression
