Now, mount this system on a merry-go-round. Start the pendulum swinging then start the merry-go-round turning. From an observer watching, the pendulum continues swinging in the initial straight, fixed plane with the merry-go-round turning under it. To an observer riding on the merry-go-round, the pendulum appears to precess or rotate in the opposite direction. That's how a Foucault Pendulum works. It swings in a plane while we, watching from a rotating Earth, see the pendulum rotate.

@my_FXJ @SamaHoole Unfortunately for some, sunlight is not enough. As a cross country coach, I ran outside (no sunscreen) for 2 hours each day and still had a vitamin D deficiency. I have spent 5 years studying to become a PA and still don't understand why I was deficient. Genetics? I still run.

We are walking around hormonally castrated for nine months of the year and being told to take a pill. The pill is fine. The sun would have been better. The seed oil that made you afraid of the sun is the actual problem. It is hormones all the way down.
