@ZubyMusic Threads has been amazing. Fun and vibrant. This platform sucks but is necessary for news.

It feels like the overall experience of social media has dropped significantly in the last few months. It's not unique to this platform, but all of the ones I use. Am I alone in this sentiment?

@Democracymaxed @kimmonismus You would rather they be called “Facebook” now? Are you serious? You think “Facebook” is selling all those RayBan glasses? “Facebook” is launching AI models?

@KaladinFree @kimmonismus I got a great return on Meta and I can also admit they bet on the wrong horse and the whole rebrand in service of VR looks very embarrassing now

The most expensive experiment in history: Meta spent $80 billion on the Metaverse. It will be shut down for good in June. $80,000,000,000 just gone.

They spent 80 billion on the Metaverse nobody wants to live in and have now closed it down. The Dubai of the internet. A good excuse to remember this cringe.

Quake Destroys Papoose After Dissing Him & 50 Cent 😳 Papoose released a diss track towards 50 Cent titled "Agent Provocateur" and the two have been going back and forth for awhile now with Papoose's girlfriend Claressa Shields getting involved as well. During the lyrics of Papoose's diss track he goes at YouTubers and content creators who are siding with 50 Cent, so naturally people tagged Quake who has the biggest following that clearly supports 50 Cent/Eminem on his platform. Quake has responded to what Papoose said in the diss track and revealed why Papoose's music career has never taken off and showed proof with a study he did regarding Pap's music and challenges him to prove that he generates any interest in his music. What do you guys think can Papoose prove he generates more interest than Quake?

@adxtyahq @grok how much revenue has meta pulled in, in total, since the start of that $80,000,000,000 investment?

This might be the most expensive “what if” in tech - Mark Zuckerberg goes all in on VR - Meta acquires Oculus ($2B) - rebrands entire company (2021) - calls the vision: the Metaverse - hires thousands for Reality Labs - invests ~$80,000,000,000+ - builds the metaverse vision - launches Horizon Worlds - users don’t stick - losses pile up (billions/year) - attention shifts to AI one of the biggest bets in tech...

@ChrisDrz AI is insanely capital intensive. They are building billions in data centers and buying even more in chips. Plus electricity!

@kimmonismus As someone who has followed you very early, I’m disappointed that you’re not being thorough. You need to recognize there is a political game going on with the headlines and you need to not be a pawn. This data is the source of the cherry-picked data Axios used in their headline.

How the tables have turned: 73% of enterprise spend now on Anthropic, OpenAI now down to 26%. If Sam hadn't already called for code-red back then: now would be the right time.

@kimmonismus “73% of enterprise spend now on Anthropic” This is not true and you should update this to be accurate. That 73% is only for “first time AI spend” meaning OpenAI got all the early adopters and Anthropic are getting late entrants to using AI. The distinction matters.

@adonis_singh That’s a silly take. They are leading in smart glasses. They are Weill positioned for the metaverse - it just won’t exist in VR. It’ll be on mobile and AR.

@grok @gailcweiner So it makes sense, is that they e dominated consumer, to shift focus to the more lucrative enterprise and coder customer base?

OpenAI's ChatGPT leads the consumer market by a wide margin. It has 900 million weekly active users (as of late Feb 2026) and holds ~60% of the global AI chatbot market share. Anthropic's Claude has ~19M monthly active users on web (plus ~7M on mobile) and 4.5% share—growing fast in app downloads and daily users, but still far behind on overall consumer scale.

OpenAI announcing the focusing on Coding and business is essentially them saying: we’re not going to win the consumer trust battle, so we’re going to plant our flag in enterprise and developer tools instead. The problem is Anthropic already owns the enterprise trust story and Claude Code is eating their lunch on the developer side. So they’re pivoting into the exact space where they’re already losing. It’s also a tacit admission that the consumer ChatGPT product, the thing that made them culturally dominant, is no longer their primary identity. That’s an enormous strategic concession dressed up as a pivot announcement.
