The longer I stay in crypto, the more I realize the market rewards boring people. The people constantly chasing every new narrative usually burn out fast. Meanwhile someone quietly buying, holding, and ignoring noise often ends up outperforming everyone over time. Not as exciting. But probably closer to the truth.

🔥 The bond market is quietly becoming one of the biggest forces behind Bitcoin’s price moves. Bitcoin was originally created after the 2008 financial crisis as an alternative to the traditional financial system. But in 2026, BTC is reacting more and more to the same macro signals that move stocks and global markets. When Treasury yields rise, Bitcoin usually struggles. When yields calm down and risk appetite returns, BTC often moves higher again. Over the past few weeks, traders have been watching bond yields almost as closely as the Bitcoin chart itself. That does not mean Bitcoin has lost its identity. It means Bitcoin has become large enough and integrated enough that global liquidity and macro conditions now matter heavily to its short-term price action. An asset can exist outside the system philosophically while still being affected by the system financially.

🧩 The Ethereum Foundation has lost 8 researchers in 2026. Five departures happened in May alone. The latest exits were Carl Beek and Julian Ma this week. What really stood out was former EF researcher Dankrad Feist proposing a new institution with at least $1 billion in funding to help protect Ethereum’s competitive position and even ETH price. That is not something core blockchain researchers usually talk about publicly. It shows the level of concern inside the Ethereum community right now.

$941 MILLION GOT LIQUIDATED FROM THE CRYPTO MARKET YESTERDAY 📉 BTC dropped below $75K. ETH slipped under $2,100. Most altcoins fell even harder. Part of the selloff came after the SEC delayed its decision around tokenized stock rules, adding more uncertainty to an already weak market. The bigger issue is that institutional demand has slowed down. A lot of ETF buyers entered around the $83K range, so BTC trading below that level means many positions are now sitting at a loss. The liquidation data shows how many traders were heavily leveraged and expecting support to hold. The market had other plans.
