The most damning part isn’t even the money. It’s the arrogant freaking assumption. The declassified intercepts show Ukrainian officials casually naming “unspecified U.S. Government personnel, through USAID in Kyiv” as part of their little money-laundering scheme. Not as a hurdle. Not as a risk. Not as something to work around. As a goddamn feature. Built-in co-conspirators. Think about that. How cocky do you have to be to talk like that? You don’t casually float hijacking hundreds of millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars into a presidential campaign unless you’re damn sure it’s doable.
