To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. there will be a number of changes and additions to the game with the next update (not delayed), but functionally the game will be static from here.
An awful ending for a game and series that deserved a more coherent, thoughtful conclusion, and investment in the IPs future.

One of the biggest culture shocks of traveling between India and Europe is retail staffing.
In Europe, hyper-efficiency rules. One person does the till, stocks the shelves, and finds your sizes. Ask for help twice, and the vibe is instantly "please don't."
In India, we have an army of helpful staff ready to assist. It's an incredible luxury we completely take for granted until we shop abroad.

So let's review. Mixtape, a walking simulator where you take part in an explicit, interactive kissing seen between underage children is considered a 10/0 masterpiece by journalists. Pragmata, a sci-fi action game built around a wholesome father/daughter bonding story that legitimately touched people's hearts is hounded by journalists and Twitter freaks as, and I quote, "Problematic and pedophilic."

So take your kid to the meat shop. Let them see it. Answer their questions. Tell them this is where food comes from and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Don’t raise a kid who apologizes for what’s on their plate.

It’s been Early Access for 2 years now and the devs at Moon Studios have confirmed they’re “hard at work toward 1.0” and explicitly told console players, “we haven’t forgotten you.”
Still no exact date but the console release is expected to coincide with (or shortly follow) the full 1.0 drop, which is targeting a 2026 launch 🚀
