one time I talked to this old man and he told me to "find a vacation everyday, even if it's walking outside and feeling the grass between your toes" and that is what 2026 will b all about. Finding a vacation, everyday.

The amount of false prophets and teachers that are passing as being from God is concerning. They barely touch the Bible. There is a lot of witchcraft that is passing for gospel ministry. Saints, please be more discerning.

If you're a Christian and you think that the other side is an existential threat to the existence of X or Y, and if you catastrophize about what will happen to "America" if POTUS candidate A or B is elected, you've lost the redemptive plot and need to read the OT & the Gospels.

@drantbradley Ya’ll digging through continuous threads of online drama on this app are doing the same thing that ppl do when they watch these shows. It’s just a different medium. Let’s be real, a lot of ppl know this show is famous for producing and creating the “drama” for tv…it’s fake.

I cannot tell you how much I detest this show and The Bachelor. They both undermine the sacred nature of marriage and mock the entire institution. Each season films for about six weeks. Who finds a spouse in six weeks? What kind of person watches this show anyway?

Sanctioning Martelly is only a small step towards accountability. The actual sanctions that were announced don't seize or freeze any assets or stop him from doing business in the US. They just limit his ability top obtain loans, credit and investments, and to exchange money.

War exists not because we don’t want peace, but because leaders who are power-hungry want more power—more land, more thrones, more riches, more.

At some point, the global West needs to understand that diplomacy by injunction and coercion no longer works.

In explaining why Niger is kicking out U.S. troops, Niger's prime minister tells @Rachel_Chason that U.S. officials tried to dictate which countries Niger could partner with in a manner he viewed as disrespectful: He said the Nigerien leaders took particular umbrage at remarks by Molly Phee, the State Department’s top official for African affairs, who he said had urged the government during a March visit to Niamey to refrain from engaging with Iran and Russia in ways objectionable to Washington if Niger wanted to continue its security relationship with the United States. He also said Phee had further threatened sanctions if Niger pursued a deal to sell uranium to Iran. “When she finished, I said, ‘Madame, I am going to summarize in two points what you have said,’” recounted Zeine, who has led negotiations with the United States. “First, you have come here to threaten us in our country. That is unacceptable. And you have come here to tell us with whom we can have relationships, which is also unacceptable. And you have done it all with a condescending tone and a lack of respect.” In response to Zeine’s comments, a U.S. official said: “The message ... was a coordinated U.S. government position, delivered in a professional manner, in response to valid concerns about developments in Niger. The CNSP was presented with a choice, not an ultimatum, about whether they wished to continue their partnership with us, respectful of our democratic values and national security interests. washingtonpost.com/world/2024/05/…

Today I spent time at the Malfety canal but Friday I had the honor of being the keynote speaker at a conference at Harvard University. Hosted by Haitians at Harvard, this gathering explored ways we can leverage our education to help impact #Haiti. I absolutely love my job. 🇭🇹✊🏿

A former US ambassador to Haiti gave an interview and said Guy Philippe and Barbecue should be part of the solution. Feeling left out, Izo sent armed men to attack civilians in Laboule this morning, according to a source with direct knowledge. Maybe folks need to STFU.

The gangs are terrorists. They are criminals who are involved in massacres, killing, raping women and girls, gang-raping violently, destroying lives, burning entire neighborhoods to the ground... Don't fall for the easy narrative, they are not "revolutionary". They are criminals.

@NetflixFunny The amount of videos I've seen on tiktok with this same take is honestly shocking. I think people are rejecting US interpretations of BBQ (because the US media isn't trustworthy), while ignoring the destruction and terror he's caused in Haiti. He isn't a hero.
