Excellent piece here by @btfitzpat on how to address the dearth of conservatives in academia. I’m proud that @mizzoulaw has long been willing to hire conservatives and, accordingly, has an ideologically diverse faculty. I do hope we can sustain that. lawliberty.org/diversifying-t…

I’m immensely proud of these four @MizzouLaw students, who performed brilliantly at the @GAI_GMU antitrust moot court over the weekend. Andrew Durham and Thomas Yang (with the plaques) advanced to the quarterfinals and won the award for best brief. Paige Harris and Luke Nutwell (who was a returning tournament champion) advanced to the semis before falling to the overall tournament champs. Every team I observed was outstanding, and the tournament itself was, as always, beautifully executed. It’s an amazing learning experience for antitrust students. Kudos to @georgemasonlaw for hosting the nation’s—or perhaps globe’s—top antitrust moot court. And congrats to the tournament champs from @gwlaw. See ya next year!

I’m thrilled to see this. Justin is a former student of mine. He’s whip smart and a kind, generous fellow. When he was counsel to the Missouri governor, he led an impressive reform of our state code of regulations. He’s smart, diligent, and principled. Excellent choice.

President Trump just nominated Justin Smith to the Eighth Circuit. Justin was my Chief of Staff & First Assistant when I was AG and a Senior Adviser in the Senate. He is one of our nation's best legal minds. He’ll be an excellent judge. A great day for Justin and for America.

Lovely piece here by my friend @btfitzpat on the legacy of his former boss, Justice Scalia. Love him or hate him, no one can doubt that he changed the way we do law. And with such wit. scotusblog.com/2026/02/justic…

"What does America First antitrust action mean in practice?" Probably just rewarding friends and punishing enemies. For more on why "America First antitrust" is neither pro-America nor proper antitrust, check out our latest episode: tinyurl.com/mz6sa83k

@megbasham That’s not what she said, and “who Pretti was” is wholly unrelated to the truth of any of her assertions. Even for someone with as scorching a case of David French Derangement Syndrome as Megan’s, this is an absurd post.

Well, David, what was wrong with her post is that the wife of a prominent SBC professor prematurely and publicly declared that this was a clear cut case of murder. And she says that even as we have new developing information about just who Pretti was. We now have multiple videos of Alex Pretti behaving like an extreme militant agitator in engaging with law-enforcement officers. He’s following them around and blocking their vehicles. He’s screaming obscenities at them. He is spitting on them. He’s daring them to assault him. HE KICKED OUT THE TAIL LIGHT OF THEIR POLICE VEHICLE. Oh, and by the way, he did all this while armed, creating an extremely dangerous environment for himself, for the officers, and for everyone around him. He was a menace. This is to go along with what we now know about his being among those coordinating to undermine and obstruct ice via underground signal chats that kept databases of the officers license plates and dispatched activist to obstruct them. Obviously the problem is you have the wife of a prominent SBC professor posting uninformed takes that make this look like a black and white, clear cut case.

It was a pleasure to record my first ever podcast with @corbinkbarthold, one of the sharpest tech thinkers (and best brief-writers!) I know. Great conversation about “new right” antitrust.
Tech Policy Podcast@TechPolicyPdcst

Relax, they just want the discretion to reward friends and punish enemies. On a new @TechPolicyPdcst, @profthomlambert (Mizzou Law) and @corbinkbarthold discuss the Trump II administration’s new right antitrust regulators. podcast.techfreedom.org/episodes/428-n…

This looks like a terrific course. Professor Haw Allensworth is a first-rate scholar and (I hear from insiders at Vanderbilt Law) an excellent teacher. I’m honored to have my work included on her reading list.
