@SaladinTalha Tell me more! Can you give me some examples where the element selection doesn’t give you enough precision?

Codex can now use the in-app browser to test your app at different viewport sizes! It will control the device tool bar and click through your app at different breakpoints to validate & iterate. If it's a long run, Codex will take screenshots at key moments during testing and show them to you at the end of the turn, so you can verify its work. To speed up testing, Codex can hide the IAB to disable animations, and accelerate testing by 1-2x. Separately, we also made annotations send faster and consume less tokens. Hope you enjoy the updates and let us know what you think!

for those wondering: computer use (which is magic) can use apps in the background but it can be hard to share a single app with codex simultaneously, especially browsers. the new chrome plugin allows codex to run its own tabs alongside you with no interruption. subagents can run separate tabs simultaneously. it is Even More Magic.
Andrew Ambrosino@ajambrosino

new: Codex can now drive tabs in Chrome, working in background tabs alongside you. Get the new Chrome extension today. also: we shipped a ton of performance improvements in the app. should feel a lot better. happy codexing!

@OpenAIDevs Doesn't work. Extension "disconnected" no matter what I do. Wasted tokens trying to get it to work 👎

Codex can now take on more of your browser dev work. With the new Chrome plugin in the Codex app, it can test web apps, gather context across tabs, use web DevTools efficiently in parallel, and keep results organized without taking over your browser.

Codex now works directly in Chrome on macOS and Windows. It’s even better at working with apps and sites in Chrome, and now works in parallel across tabs in the background without taking over your browser. To get started, install the Chrome plugin in the Codex app.

You should be using subagents in Codex! They let Codex split work across specialized agents, explore in parallel, and bring the results back into one focused answer. Great for bigger codebases, PR reviews, and anything that needs more than one thread of thought!!

@greptile is a great product, but the pricing is far too high. 90 per month per person with only 30 reviews, then 1 dollar per review.... 250 in extra spend a week into this month. The pace of PRs with AI makes you too expensive. And I can't seem to find a way to turn off the overage and waste a bunch of my reviews on tiny PRs. You need a better pricing model. Let me know when you have one I might come back.

@snwy_me It's insanely slow. I only seem to get a couple of prompts and I hit my 5-hour window. On business plan. Results are mostly useless, too. Overall, I just seem to be giving money to OpenAI to waste my time.

@birjuvachhani @dart_lang No, unfortunately they won't be released until Dart 3.13. Maybe August/September. Dart language features take incredibly long to get out: #language" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/dart-lang/sdk/…

Codex is not like claude code. if you know the limit is going to end, like last 10 to 8%, give an very long run task, and even after the limit got ever, it will continue to do the task until the task was completed. Shout out to @OpenAI team.

@reach_vb I had 100% tokens, tried a single prompt, no response, 0% tokens. Done. Not a great experience, to say the least.

@gdb I tried a single prompt at 100% tokens, immediately went to 0% without a reply. Not a great experience, to say the least.

Am I the only one who feels conflicted about structured logging? Whenever I look at logs in half of the observability tools it’s hard to view on the screen and JSON sucks. But advocating for an unstructured logging format these days would get you murdered I feel in most orgs.
