I did three months with Moniepoint and resigned... I resigned and I'm not proud enough to have it on my CV. Moniepoint employee relations and welfare doesn't equate the hype they move with.

I used to think we have really bright talents in Nigeria but I now know they’re not up to the global standards — Moniepoint CEO, Eniolorunda, laments Founder of Moniepoint, Tosin Eniolorunda, has sparked conversation online after opening up about the company’s struggle to find qualified Nigerian talent despite hundreds of job openings. Speaking candidly, Eniolorunda revealed that the fintech made a bold move in 2024 to hire only Nigerians, but the outcome has been tough. “In 2024, we made a decision that we will no longer hire from any other place than Nigeria. And we chopped the cane in 2025,” he said. According to him, the company currently has about 500 vacancies but is struggling to fill them. “Not only could we not find people at the quality and the quantity we needed them, the few people that we found were not up to the global standards,” he added. The tech boss stressed that the challenge goes beyond local competition, noting: “I’m competing globally, my biggest competition, they are from China.” Eniolorunda didn’t hold back in pointing fingers at systemic issues, particularly Nigeria’s education system and shifting social values. “I used to feel like Nigerians are really, really bright, but I am honestly beginning to feel like we need to do something to prevent the general IQ of this country from going lower,” he said, expressing deep concern. He also blamed rising social media influence and trends like “Yahoo Yahoo” and “h@okup culture” for shaping the mindset of young people. “The level that people are reasoning in this country is not as high as it used to be,” he lamented. Despite the criticism, Eniolorunda maintained that Nigerians still have potential, urging a reset in values and investment in human capital. “We have it in us, all we just need to do is develop our human capital and change this mentality,” he said, while also pointing to brain drain as a major challenge.

Big chances missed by top strikers in the 🔴 Premier League Erling Haaland – 26 Igor Thiago – 17 Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 17 Jean-Philippe Mateta – 15 Ollie Watkins – 15 Evanilson – 12 Hugo Ekitike – 11 Benjamin Šeško – 11 Kevin Schade – 11 Victor Gyökeres 10 Stop Gaslighting Arsenal fans. Victor might have miss chances in the #UCL but he is much better than over 50% of strikers. Victor is ours and we will always love him 🔴⚪️

How on earth will you be protesting over someone who was caught red-handed with a gun? 🤔 I honestly don’t know where this country is heading. I don’t know if it’s justifiable for a Nigerian to own a gun unlawfully. This matter has really tired me, I swear.

After the SC ruling, there's need for a new handler
Official PDP Nigeria@OfficialPDPNig

IBADAN DECLARATION Communiqué issued at the end of Opposition Political Parties National Summit held on Saturday April 25, 2026 in Ibadan, Oyo State. Participating Opposition Parties in Nigeria, after an extensive deliberation on the collective threats that we face and the existential challenges facing our country under the stranglehold of the oppressive and anti-democratic All Progressives Congress (APC) and given the need for urgent, collective action to rescue our nation and the destiny of over 200 million compatriots, hereby resolve as follows: 1. That we shall resist all machinations by the APC to foist a one-party State on Nigeria and fight for the survival of multi-party democracy in our country. 2. That despite the onslaughts and manoeuvrings of the ruling party, the APC to impose President Bola Tinubu as the sole Presidential candidate in 2027; we shall field candidates and contest the 2027 Presidential and other elections. 3. That we shall work towards fielding one Presidential Candidate for the 2027 elections, which shall be agreed and supported by all participating opposition parties to rescue our nation and her long suffering masses. 4. That the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, having shown bias and partisanship in favour of the ruling APC, should not conduct the 2027 general elections as Nigerians across board have lost confidence in him and his capacity to guarantee the required neutrality to deliver free, fair, transparent and credible elections. His continuous stay in office is vexatious and capable of triggering wide spread crisis in our nation. 5. That the National Assembly should immediately review the Electoral Act, 2026 to remove all sections that threaten the sanctity and integrity of the elections and run counter to constitutional provisions. 6. That all leading politicians that are being detained or harassed on bailable offfences be released with immediate effect and allowed to exercise their fundamental rights of participation and inclusivity as Nigerians. 7. That we consider the recent guidelines released by the INEC as obstacles, deliberately engineered to impose conditions and deadlines on the opposition parties. We therefore demand that INEC extends the deadline for primaries till the end of July, 2026. 8. The Summit commends Nigerians for their resilience and readiness to work with Opposition Parties to free our nation from State capture. 9. The National summit of Opposition Political Parties thank the Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State for hosting the epochal event. SIGNED: Chairmen of Participating Opposition Parties.

Yesterday, around 7 pm, while I was returning home from work, I received an alert of 500,000 Naira from an unknown person. Initially, I thought it might be from one of my regular customers. However, after checking my WhatsApp and Twitter DMs up until now, no one has sent me a receipt, so I know it’s definitely not from any of my customers. Then, I thought about checking the narrative attached to the receipt, which reads, “Keep up the good work you are doing. I love your dedication towards APC and Nigeria.” So, to whoever sent that money, I say thank you. I will not back down in supporting my country and my great party (APC) in whatever way i can.
