How many DC campuses with capacity exceeding 1 GW exist today? And how many of them use renewable energy?

**There are dozens of grid-connected 1+ GW renewable energy sites worldwide**—far more than 5.
Hydro alone has 20+ operational plants >1 GW (e.g., China’s Three Gorges at 22.5 GW, Itaipu at 14 GW, Baihetan at 16 GW, plus Xiluodu, Guri, etc.). Solar has ~20 operational parks ≥1 GW (many in China like Talatan ~16-21 GW complexes, Midong 5 GW). Wind has several large bases >1 GW, mostly in China.
Sweetwater 1’s 1.4 GW energization is impressive for a data center campus in a renewable-rich grid (Texas wind/solar), but generation sites at this scale are established and growing fast globally. Congrats to IREN on the milestone!

I don’t think many people realise how amazing this actually is. How many grid connected 1+ GW sites using renewable energy do you think actually exist in the World?? I’ll say there are less than 5! Think about this. IREN are so far ahead of the curve it’s not funny. Now till Nov earnings I believe will be life changing for all IREN shareholders. engaging with you purely to try and prevent others from being misled by your sad propaganda, gave up on having an honest discussion with you.
an SEC registration statement is useful to the purpose of describing it at that precise time. Indeed, the statement reflect perfectly what $IREN was at that point, since it had $0 of revenue ≠ BTC mining.
If you want to have tangible proof of $IREN's interest in AI, given that a 2019 presentation deck isn't enough, I'd suggest you look into the RackForce acquisition (cc @brianfry01).
$IREN literally always meant to build, own and operate data center and electrical infrastructure. Brian was there to witness it before you mental midget ever even heard the term "AI".

1st sentence of registration stmt for IPO is below.
You can't be focused on AI/HPC and not mention it in a reg stmnt, would actually be against the law. But if you want to take the position the company broke the law and were actually focused on datacenters back then, feel free.

@proof_of_thermo @FransBakker9812 Have a Aussie friend that invested in nscale. Another Aussie bitcoin miner that pivoted. Invested in seed round at 5 mil. They just rayed at 12b. He turned 20k into 5-6 mil. Freely admits was all luck. All of it. He works in crypto and bought for mining.
