Confession: I mostly stick poems on Substack because I have no idea how to put them in magazines and don’t use Submittable. For essays I just … email a guy (nongendered)? Where should I be going with poems magazine-wise, esp poems that have formal components in structure?

@bigmonkeong haven’t seen the film but the case for the book is definitely the latter! but i also think there is legitimately no remotely ethical way to make a live action adaptation of it and that may be the main issue people have with the film

@Charlesaf3 @justsmbdyithink fair! it’s also been a while since i was a barista, so i don’t actually know if CC still trains all the baristas.
another big factor is how busy it is—a lot of baristas sacrifice quality of the espresso shot just to make it faster if there’s a backlog of coffee orders

the world is not divided into red vs blue button pushers; it is divided into who considers this game theory vs who considers this a philosophical thought experiment.
Tim Urban@waitbutwhy
Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

Me: I am just feeling really sad today, I’m not sure why.
My bf: *sniffs my head* You’re about to start your period, that’s why.
Me: I’m six days away from my period, what do you mean???
My bf: Your head smells like toast whenever you’re on your period, you’re going to start early.
Me: Excuse me???
(He was unfortunately correct😭)
