@IceStationSpmda @CRXSSF4DE Only some of them! You need to dial a TTY service and the keyboard will pop out. This was so deaf and hard of hearing people could still use payphones! Most of the ones that have this are in libraries or otherwise inside.

@IceStationSpmda By the way, the “new features” were supposed to be USB chargers. I think like three models ever implemented this and were very quickly removed because of vandalism

@ID_JAPAN_AO The 3G shutdown in Australia is still having issues with emergency calling on phones literally years later. There was an iOS update last year for the iPhone 5S just to fix that issue…

@ONE1KOU This was the clock battery inside an early model PlayStation 2! I think the later slim models also had one of these inside, but they were more difficult to remove.

@minarai0035 This is probably due to the limit of about 1300W on a normal outlet in Japan, however the UK outlets can do about 3000W due to the higher voltage. Hair dryers have the same limitation!
