Stating the obvious, the Senate GOP is going to be pretty ungovernable for the next couple months. Unenviable task for White House office of legislative affairs.

President Trump on Illinois Governor JB Pritzker: “JB Pritzker's a slob of a governor. You know, he could call me, and I'd send the National Guard in and Chicago would have NO CRIME.” “Look at Washington, D.C. Did you see the crime stats? It's down to like nothing, people go to restaurants now… It's a hot city. We have a beautiful city… almost no crime. We could have the same thing in Chicago.” “All he'd have to do is say, ‘President, I don't want to have any crime in Chicago. Could you help me?’ In 3 months, Chicago would be a different place.”

Your question is inane. The murder of the Israeli staffers was antisemitism, pure and simple. It's got nothing to do with harshness or angry criticism - it's just ethnic hatred. And the motivation of these two young adults will either be known or not depending on what that motivation and their backgrounds is. If there is a disaffected youth combined with sexual/gender confusion, it will go down as unclassified other.

Immediately after incidents like the murder of two Israeli staffers in DC and the WHCD shooting, it was widely asserted that such violence was caused by those who harshly and angrily criticize Israel or Trump. Are harsh criticisms of Islam/Muslims therefore the cause of this?
The Associated Press@AP

The two suspects in a Monday shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego are dead, according to a police source. The Islamic Center is the largest mosque in San Diego County, according to its website. Aerial TV footage showed more than a dozen children holding hands and being walked out of the parking lot of the center that is surrounded by scores of police vehicles.

@SawyerMerritt Will this encourage drivers to not disengage when it might be prudent to do so? Not sure this info needs to be on the screen while driving. I can find my stats if I need the info now.

Well this is new. FSD V14.3.3 has a live counter right on the main screen that shows how many miles you’ve driven on FSD since your last intervention. It resets back to zero when you disengage (shown below):

Elon Musk just gave human-made content a six-year expiration date. Musk: “Most of what people consume in five or six years, maybe sooner, will be AI-generated content.” Most people heard that and moved on with their day. That’s the problem. Musk doesn’t say things like that to make conversation. He says them because he’s already building on the other side of what he’s describing. Six years. One car loan. One kid through middle school. That’s the gap between now and a world where most of what you feel was made by something that never felt anything. Rogan put it in terms anyone could picture. Five or six years and every app on your phone is Blockbuster Video. Musk didn’t flinch. Because apps were always just the middleman between you and what you wanted. And middlemen don’t survive when the distance between desire and delivery hits zero. You won’t browse. You won’t scroll. You won’t search. You’ll speak and what you need will already exist. The entire creator economy was built on one assumption nobody ever said out loud. That humans would always be the ones making what other humans consume. Remove that and everything above it collapses. Labels. Studios. Agencies. Platforms. All of it was scaffolding around human output. Scaffolding is worthless the moment you no longer need a human to lay the bricks. The first time an AI-generated song makes you cry alone in your car at 2am, you will not stop to check who wrote it. You’ll just feel it. Your nervous system doesn’t read credits. Your dopamine doesn’t verify authorship. Your tears won’t ask if what caused them ever had a pulse. And that opens a door most people aren’t ready to walk through. If a machine can make you feel something real then either the machine understands something about you that you don’t or you never needed another human to feel understood in the first place. Both answers are terrifying for completely different reasons. We spent centuries believing that meaning required a meaning-maker. That suffering had to pass through someone before it could reach someone else. That was never a fact. It was a comfort. Musk doesn’t deal in comfort. He deals in timelines. And the timeline he just gave you is shorter than most people’s car payments. We spent decades arguing over what makes art real. That argument was never between humans and machines. It was between what you think should move you and what actually does. And what actually does has never once checked the source.

Ana Kasparian tells Megyn Kelly: “I am terrified that he [Ed Gallrein] is going to beat Massie in the primary.” Why are progressives so concerned about a “Republican” losing? KY primary voters should be made aware of Massie’s broad Democrat support.

@BreitbartNews Mike Pence is exactly the reason Donald Trump got elected twice. Feckless, spineless, shitweasel, it's OK if we go to hell in a handbasket as long as he gets a turn holding the handle.

Mike Pence: "I think Republicans ought to do a lot of soul-searching" before 2028 "I think Republicans face a new time of choosing — whether we're going to stay on the path of the traditional conservative principles that have always defined our party for the last half century, or whether we're going to follow the siren song of populism" "We've always been a party committed to low taxes, including low tariffs and free trade. Now, as we witnessed, the president imposed unilateral tariffs on friend and foe alike until the Supreme Court stepped in and used the Constitution to turn him back." "I know Donald Trump better than his most ardent defenders know him. Okay? And he is not ideological. In fact, he often bristled when I would refer to policies as conservative. He would, with a wave of a hand, say to me, 'That's just common sense.' But now, as you see the stops and starts on our support for Ukraine under this administration, nationalizing American businesses, unilateral tariffs, price controls on everything from pharmaceuticals to credit cards, all of this should should create a backdrop for a very healthy debate over whether we're going to stay moving in the direction, on these issues, that President Trump has led our party, or whether we're going to re-ground ourselves back to those timeless conservative principles, I think, that have always made not only our party successful but, more importantly, have made America strong and prosperous and free."
