People have no idea how much psychedelics have influenced modern scientific and technological breakthroughs. Francis Crick: Visualized the DNA double helix structure while tripping on acid. Kary Mullis: Credits LSD for his invention of PCR (DNA amplification). Ralph Abraham: Pioneered chaos theory and dynamical systems, and was deeply influenced by LSD, DMT, and other psychedelics. Douglas Engelbart: Participated in LSD sessions at the International Foundation for Advanced Study, and invented the computer mouse and graphical user interface. Bill Atkinson: Created HyperCard, the precursor to modern web/hypermedia software right after an LSD trip. Richard Feynman: Legendary physicist and well known fan of LSD. Steve Jobs: Regularly dropped acid in his bedroom and credits those trips for inspiring him to create Apple. Psychedelics demonstrably increase trait openness, a core dimension of creativity, and are used to unlock the full potential of the human mind.

Has anyone ever come out of these “profound” psychedelic trips with a verifiable scientific insight or breakthrough in physics or psychology or something? Can you fix Africa now? Why do these trip reports just read like Eckhart Tolle Burning man Deepak Chopramaxxed guruslop

I am honored that I got to help with this bill starting three years ago. "Amy Rising, a Washington, D.C.-based Veteran Mental Healthcare Advocate who was instrumental in the drafting of the new bill, told Lucid News that the introduction of this particular legislative framework, “reflects a growing alignment across the Senate that we can’t afford to wait until these therapies arrive to start preparing for them.” “Over the past year,” said Rising, “there’s been a quiet but meaningful effort to bring together the right voices – clinicians, veterans, researchers, and policymakers – to think through what responsible implementation actually looks like.” “This bill is the result of those conversations finally taking shape in a coordinated way. It ensures the VA is ready to lead, not follow, when it comes to delivering next-generation care to veterans.” New Federal Bill Aims to Establish VA Office of Novel Therapeutics lucid.news/new-federal-bi… via @lucidnewssite

This was the most profound experience of my life. I am stunned beyond comprehension. This molecule is without peer. The 27mg dose opened up what felt like pure consciousness and intelligence. A majestic reveal of existence itself. In all its incomprehensible glory and majesty. It is impossible to explain with words. Whatever you imagine, multiply it by 1,000 and then add infinite width and depth and dimensions. But entrance was not granted without prerequisite. Existence demanded that I submit. That I say yes; without attachment and without condition. Yes to existence; yes to the dissolution of self; yes to release control; yes, to all. My ego registered the ask and panicked. It wanted control. It was desperate for control. It pleaded to escape from the torrent of light and essence that threatened to rip my sanity into chards. The urge to eject was overwhelming. Terror thundered throughout my mind and body. It took everything within me to release. I overcame and was treated with bliss that defies imagination. A euphoria colored with perfect harmony of all things. An orchestra of essence washed over me and swept me up in dance. It was home. The highest aspiration of intelligent life. For some reason, stored and tucked away as the ultimate prize. A single concept emerged in omnipresence: we cannot grok the preciousness of our existence. Yet it is everything we’ve ever wanted and more. The state we long for without knowing it exists. This caused me great pain and heartache. A swell of loyalty and devotion emerged inside me, pledging allegiance to existence. To become a warrior and caretaker of life on earth. To protect at any cost the candle of consciousness that has miraculously emerged in this part of the galaxy. What awaits will wipe all your tears, soothe all your sorrows, and infinitely exceed your wants.

Everyone is covering Terafab as a chip factory. It is not a chip factory. Last night in Austin, Elon unveiled a facility that makes masks, fabricates chips, and tests them inside a single building with a nine-month recursive improvement cadence. No such loop exists anywhere else on Earth. Then he told you 80% of the output goes to space. Then he showed you a 100-kilowatt AI satellite with solar panels and radiators, scaling to megawatt range. Then he said Optimus plus photovoltaics will be the first von Neumann probe, a machine capable of replicating itself from raw materials found in space. Nobody connected the sequence. Terafab produces 1 terawatt per year of compute. The entire United States consumes 0.5 terawatts of electricity. Musk is building a single factory whose output in AI silicon exceeds twice the power consumption of the country it sits in. And he is sending 80% of it off-planet because Earth literally cannot power what he is building. Follow the mechanism. Terafab seeds the chips. Starship launches Optimus robots and solar arrays at 100 million tons per year. The robots mine lunar and asteroid regolith for silicon, iron, and nickel. They 3D-print more robots. They fabricate more solar panels. They assemble more AI satellites. Each satellite runs hotter-burning D3 chips designed specifically for vacuum, where free radiative cooling eliminates the thermal constraints that strangle every terrestrial data center on the planet. The nodes replicate. The replication is exponential. This is a Dyson Swarm bootstrap hidden inside a semiconductor announcement. The math is public. The Sun outputs 3.828 times 10 to the 26th watts. A 2022 paper in Physica Scripta calculated that 5.5 billion satellites at 290 kilograms each, robotically manufactured from Mars resources, capture enough solar energy to meet all of Earth’s power needs within 50 years. A 2025 paper in Solar Energy Materials calculated a partial swarm capturing 4% of solar output yields 15.6 yottawatts, roughly a billion times current human civilization’s total energy budget. Musk just announced the factory that builds the chips that go inside the satellites that replicate themselves forever. 92% of advanced logic chips are fabricated in Taiwan. One factory in Austin does not fix that. But one self-replicating system seeded by that factory, launched by the only company with reusable heavy-lift rockets, assembled by the only humanoid robot in mass production, and powered by the only star within reach, does not fix a supply chain. It obsoletes the concept of supply chains entirely. The market priced this as a $20 billion capex story about semiconductor independence. The actual announcement was the engineering blueprint for Kardashev Type II. Humanity sits at 0.73 on the Kardashev scale. 18 terawatts. The distance between here and harnessing a star is not a technology gap. It is a recursion gap. And recursion is exactly what a single building in Austin that makes its own masks, builds its own chips, tests its own chips, and launches the output into orbit on its own rockets was designed to close. Every civilization that makes it past this point never looks back.

Rapid recursive improvement
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

ELON MUSK: "We're starting off with an advanced technology fab here in Austin, and I'd like to thank @GregAbbott_TX and the state of Texas for the support. So in the advanced technology fab, we will have all of the equipment necessary to make a chip of any kind logical memory, and we will also have all of the equipment necessary to make the masks. So in a single building, we can create a mask, make the chip, test the chip, make another mask, and have an incredibly fast recursive loop for improving the chip design. To the best of my knowledge, this doesn't exist anywhere in the world. We're really going to push the limit of physics in compute, and we're going to try a bunch of wild and crazy things, which you can do if you've got that fast iteration loop that I can't emphasize enough the importance of being able to make it, to test it and and then make and then change the design, do another one, and have that in a single building."

this is trade war. oil vs. chips with AI in the middle. if we spend all our ammo on Iran, we can't stop China from taking over Taiwan where 90% of ai chips are made. China needs Russian and Iranian oil to make stuff and take over Taiwan.

A Muslim Healer For Our Time Emir Abdelkader (Abd el-Kader), the 19th-century Algerian leader who resisted French colonization fighting for 17 years, was imprisoned in France for five years, from 1847 to 1852. "On July 6 1860, Churchill witnessed the governor in Damascus’s punish Christians who were no longer paying the head tax. Abdelkader and his sons organized the rescue and protection of thousands in the neighboring Christian quarter, even offering bounties for Christians brought safely to his enormous French paid residence. Around 10,000 were saved over several days, many then escorted to Lebanon with protection. Letters of gratitude poured in from around the world, one of which was from Bishop Louis Pavy in Algiers, to which the emir responded: “That which we did for the Christians, we did to be faithful to Islamic Law, and out of respect for human rights…. The law places greatest importance on compassion and mercy and all that preserves social cohesion.” Abdelkader ended his letter with a pointed observation for today: “Those who belong to the religion of Mohammad have corrupted it, which is why they are now like lost sheep.” @WashInstitute washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysi…

this has been an open secret in tech for years and if you’ve been following my threads you already know where I stand on this I genuinely believe Palantir was never just a government contractor it was always designed from day 1 to embed itself so deep inside the intelligence & defense apparatus that ripping it out would be like trying to remove the nervous system from a living body you need to understand how this works on a technical level to really grasp the scale of what I’m describing Gotham & foundry are data integration platforms that plug into every single information source an organization has, internal databases, intelligence feeds, comms, satellite data, financial transactions, social media…everything gets funneled into a single ontological knowledge graph and here’s the key, once you’ve connected 5y of an intelligence agency’s data or a defense ministry’s operations into Palantir’s architecture you’ve created a technological dependency that is virtually impossible to reverse bc migrating that graph to another system would mean rebuilding the ENTIRE institutional memory of the organization from scratch I’m telling you this is vendor lock-in at the scale of a nation state & I’m personally convinced it was designed to work exactly this way from the beginning by the way palantir is just the most visible case, you should know that the same exact playbook is running across the entire deftech ecosystem right now, companies building AI systems for surveillance targeting & predictive intelligence are quietly rotating former employees into regulatory agencies & defense departments the revolving door between silicon valley & the pentagon has literally become a conveyor belt at this point & I think the boundary between private tech infrastructure and state power is dissolving way faster than anyone wants to acknowledge and I’ll add something that I believe makes it even more concerning these systems are increasingly autonomous meaning the AI layer is making recommendations that humans inside gvt are rubber stamping without fully understanding the underlying logic I’m deeply convinced that the most important power shift of this decade is happening in complete silence and I think most people have absolutely no idea, this is the moment where the companies building the tools of governance become indistinguishable from governance itself & believe me by the time the general public figures out what happened the integration will be too deep too complex & too classified to ever be unwound

I am an ex-Palantir executive, and it is factually correct that @PalantirTech intended to take over the US government while heavily funding the effort. Many of my ex-colleagues are now installed inside the USG apparatus. There is a reason the C-suite of $PLTR has me blocked. The enemy is within, and we are currently an occupied nation. 🇺🇸 We basically have a terrorist entity deeply embedding itself into the USG.

I was asking grok what my ancestor Emir Abdelkader who fought the French for 17 years in Algeria starting in 1830 would think of the "wars" being waged today? Emir Abdelkader (Abd al-Qadir al-Jaza'iri, 1808–1883) was not only a military leader and statesman but also a profound Sufi thinker, scholar, and spiritual guide. His Sufi teachings were deeply rooted in orthodox Islam while drawing heavily from mystical traditions, particularly the Akbariyya school of Ibn 'Arabi (Muhyi al-Din ibn al-'Arabi, d. 1240), whom he revered as his spiritual master (shaykh al-akbar). Abdelkader belonged to the Qadiriyya tariqa (Sufi order), founded by Abdul Qadir al-Jilani from Iran (d. 1166), which emphasized ethical conduct, inner purification, and devotion to God. His Sufism integrated spiritual insight (ma'rifa) with practical action: jihad (both outer resistance and inner struggle against the ego), compassion, justice, and universal love for creation. He saw Sufism as a path to realizing tawhid (God's oneness) in all aspects of life, leading to tolerance, humility, and service to humanity. ?what would the Emir say about the wars being waged today? Emir Abdelkader would likely view the wars raging today—whether in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Yemen, or elsewhere—with profound sorrow, principled critique, and a call rooted in his Sufi understanding of tawhid, mercy, and true jihad. Drawing from his life, writings (especially Kitab al-Mawaqif), and actions, he consistently emphasized that war, when unavoidable, must be defensive, bound by strict ethical limits, and never detached from compassion or the recognition of divine unity in all creation. Core Principles He Would Invoke War as a Last Resort, Not an End in Itself The Emir waged a 17-year defensive jihad against French colonial invasion, but he always sought peace when possible. He negotiated treaties (e.g., Tafna in 1837) and ultimately surrendered in 1847 partly to spare further civilian suffering, stating concern for innocent lives. He would condemn wars driven by aggression, expansionism, revenge, or ideological fanaticism rather than genuine defense of life, land, or faith. Modern conflicts often involve disproportionate destruction, targeting civilians, or scorched-earth tactics—he would see these as violations of Islamic rules of engagement and the greater jihad (struggle against the ego and injustice within). Strict Mercy and Humanity in Conflict His treatment of French prisoners was legendary: he forbade torture, mutilation, or humiliation; provided food, medical care, and respect; even discouraged forced conversions, advising reconsideration for exchange purposes. Prisoners often arrived terrified but left admiring his chivalry—some accounts note it shamed the French into better behavior. He adhered rigorously to Prophetic guidance and shari'a: no killing of non-combatants (women, children, elderly, clergy), no destruction of crops/trees/animals unnecessarily, no mutilation of bodies. In today's wars, he would grieve deeply over civilian casualties, indiscriminate bombings, sieges causing starvation, or dehumanization of "the other." He would remind us: "All religions rest on two principles: praise God and be compassionate toward His creatures." Hatred must never override justice (Qur'an 5:8). Universal Human Dignity and Interfaith Mercy Influenced by Ibn 'Arabi's wahdat al-wujud (unity of being), he saw reflections of the Divine in every soul. His 1860 actions in Damascus—risking his life to shelter ten thousand of Christians from sectarian violence—embodied this: he declared protecting innocents a religious duty, regardless of faith. He earned praise and awards from Lincoln, Queen Victoria, and the Pope for this. He would decry any war framed in religious terms that justifies harming innocents or demonizing entire groups (Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or otherwise). True tawhid demands seeing the shared humanity beneath differences—competing in good works (Qur'an 5:48), not destruction. The Greater Jihad: Inner Purification Over Outer Violence As a Sufi, he taught that the real battle is against the nafs (lower self)—anger, pride, vengeance. External war without this inner jihad becomes corrupted. Many modern conflicts stem from ego-driven power, tribalism, or manipulated ideologies—he would call for leaders and fighters to examine their hearts first. Peace begins with self-restraint and forgiveness, even toward enemies. What He Might Say Today (In His Spirit) If we imagine him addressing our era, drawing from his quotes and ethos: "War is a fire that consumes the innocent before the guilty. If it must be kindled for justice, let it be with the cool water of mercy, lest it burn the very soul of the warrior." "Do not let hatred turn you from justice. The enemy is not the human face before you, but the darkness that blinds us all to God's unity in creation." "Praise God in every breath, and show compassion to His creatures—Muslim and non-Muslim alike—for in harming the innocent, we harm the reflection of the Divine." "The sun of the heart never sets, even in the darkest night of war. Turn to it, and seek the path of peace before the path of the sword." His legacy reminds us: a true mujahid fights injustice while preserving humanity. In an age of endless cycles of violence, he would urge de-escalation, dialogue, protection of civilians, and return to the Prophetic model of mercy—even in conflict. May all people be guided toward justice, peace, and recognition of their oneness in every soul. Amen
