@linasbeliunas Problem with service enabled tech is that it assumes pricing is maintained and the gazillions service charge will now be charged by much smaller, hyper efficient CO’s. Not happening was customers wise up and apply pricing pressure as competition heats up.

@gregisenberg 3. So while today the ratio is 1:6 software to services, that ratio will be compressed as prices are deeply negotiated. Service TAMs will be crushed as the savings will accrue to the customers. Services have been a poor venture return business and it will continue that way.

@gregisenberg 2. Services orgs make their profits on the junior help who are priced asymetrically to any sort of rational comp. Those associates are far less critical and thus drive far less profits to the services orgs.

@gregisenberg 1. This is fundamentally flawed. It is not just competition that will depress prices, it will be the customer who knows full well that most of the legal work is fungible and that it is relationships that manage the complex work.
