Is it just me or is startupfest montreal overrated. I talked to 10 local founders who are doing great, all of them said, its not worth the ticket. It seems to be a VC meet-n-greet. Definitely not for startups. If anything, its a negative signal if the startup is pitching there.

You might want to think this through Paddy. Protecting your citizens from terrorism, while saving hostages, is the right of any attacked nation. Ireland and the US would do the exact same thing. Israel does everything it can to minimize civilian casualties, while Hamas explicitly targets & murders civilians — while using their civilians as human shields.

The Betakit article is a pretty damning indictment of the collusion between the city and the event, so thanks for sharing it.
