(1/9) #Physicalexam #Tweetorial @VCU_IMRes Cardiac auscultation is all about identifying normal from abnormal sounds. Like any skill this takes practice. In 1904 Dr Charles W. Larned published how to “mimic” heart sounds Here is how to practice without a patient or even a heart!

1/🧵 Why is a ketogenic diet a potentially effective treatment for refractory epilepsy? There's something almost magical about the idea that a specific type of diet could reduce the risk of epileptic seizures. Let's explore why that might be. #medtwitter #tweetorial

1/ My first Twitter 🧵, let’s get started! A brief review of the three most common types of porphyria. They are Porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT), Acute intermittent porphyria (AIP), and erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP). #Tweetorial #MedTwitter @VCU_IMRes

1/11 Rapid Response Series, #2: Hypotension So in medical school we were all shown a table like this to learn shock, which made my eyes roll back. 🙄 When I’m called about hypotension, I don’t have time to recall a table.⏱️ #MedTwitter #TipsForNewDocs

1/10 A 26 y/o woman presents with migratory arthritis. Started with a red and hot foot/ankle. Then went to the knee. Overuse, she was told. When ice/rest did not help, she went to the hospital. An arthrocentesis procedure was performed.
