The Egypt game was enough evidence for me that refs were going to give Argentina AT LEAST 50.1% of calls. They called the game like they simple couldn’t afford to make even the slightest mistake at Argentina’s expense.
AllThingsBrazil™@SelecaoTalk

🚨| It’s now been confirmed: VAR was incorrectly used and Embolo should NOT have been sent-off vs Argentina. VAR can intervene in cases of error regarding identity, but NOT to overturn the decision in situations involving simulation.

A wrongly disallowed goal for Egypt, a red to Switzerland, two disallowed goals for Spain in the Final Infantino was working overtime I still don't know how Argentina lost lmao

Everyone knew FIFA's interpretation was a reach and did not adjust to the protocol, but they still went with it. Now the IFAB has confirmed what we all knew.

@OvieO You were tripping, because you forget to read a vital part of the IFAB statement: "The use of the mistaken identity clause to deal with simulation during the FIFA World Cup 2026 was well received," the Zurich-based group said.

🚨IFAB, THE GOVERNING BODY OF RULES IN FOOTBALL HAS CONFIRMED THAT THE SWISS PLAYER NEVER SHOULD'VE RECIEVED A RED CARD THE GUIDELINES CLEARLY FORBID THE REF FROM INDIRECTLY GETTING AN OPPOSING PLAYER BOOKED WHEN SOMEONE HAS DIVED ARGENTINA'S ROUTE TO THE FINAL ROBBED MANY🤯

The double standards are unbelievable: England will co-host Euro 2028, welcome teams from across the continent and stage a huge portion of the tournament yet they still won’t be guaranteed automatic qualification. Meanwhile, Argentina are set to receive automatic qualification for the 2030 World Cup after hosting just one opening match. Somehow, whenever Messi and Argentina are involved, football’s rules suddenly become extremely flexible. What a coincidence.

🗣️ Roy Keane: “Argentina are the most favoured footballing nation in recent years. They’re so deeply involved in corruption, and they should be ashamed of it. Messi has stayed quiet because he’s benefiting from the corruption. How were they able to convince the FIFA president to give them automatic qualification for the 2030 World Cup when they’re only hosting the opening match of the tournament? I guess maybe they want Messi to win the World Cup that Spain denied him in 2026.”

These guys have bought like 5-6 players already and Rodri on tge way, but still they are afraid of Barca so they have to start inventing new stuff. Would be fun if they investigated their own club for all controversy as well…

@Grandsoncr7 This was also decided last year. Ironically 5 other nations (2 similar to ARG) have already qualified for the 2030 WC but it’s not suiting your agenda so let’s ignore it.

😱 Unbelievable corruption alert: England have been denied automatic qualification for Euro 2028 despite being co-hosts of the tournament, while Gianni Infantino has handed Argentina a place at the next World Cup simply by allowing them to host a single opening match. Meanwhile, England will host teams from across Europe but must still earn their place through qualification. Why is Messi and Argentina always involved in controversy?

This is also why a WC should not be the Guinea Pig for new rules. Rather test the rules in qualifiers and Nations League etc prior to these tournaments like the WC and avoid introducing new unclear rules for the WC.

See how it’s now the Marketing teams fault, while as for Barcelona it was obviously Messi who bankrupted them because he generated more income than he cost. But these guys are back at their agenda again…
Muneeb@Muneeb_08

If you are in debt after signing Cristiano Fvcking Ronaldo, you need to fire your entire marketing team. Like how is it even possible? If you are not making $500M every 6 months from shirt sales and broadcasting deals, it just shows a whole new level of incompetence
