@AskZerodha What if the sip date and quarterly settlement date coincides, should it move the funds transferred for sip purpose back to the account?

@zerodha @Nithin0dha please look into improvement stocks/etf sips. Funds automated for sip gets settled back due to quarterly settlement. No sip failure or execution notifications, emails. Need better handling of sip baskets, it affects disciplined investments.

@Dev_Fadnavis @PMCPune concrete roads need better drainage work and clearance policy. All roads in pune city are broken under new drainage pipeline work. Why this can't be done before road work is finalized? So much inconvenience to common people..

@IncomeTaxIndia @nsitharaman @PMOIndia @FinMinIndia Delayed tax refund are not attracting interest if the refund is lower than 10% of total tax eligibility. This means govt. can use this money at 0 interest. Is this legit? Cant we speed up the refund process?

The Income Tax Department needs to extend the last date for filing or revising ITR for AY 2025-26 from 31st December 2025 to 31st March 2026, considering the plethora of emails and SMS being issued by the department stating that ITR processing has been kept on hold under the risk management process. In these cases, refunds have also been withheld, causing genuine hardship to taxpayers.

Income Tax is Literally Harassing the Genuine Taxpayer Now they started sending notices to the Genuine Taxpayer who has claimed deduction in ITR Which is not reflected in Form 16. This year they have demanded additional diclosure for Claiming Deduction Like loan ac no, policy no, reciept no Etc., Why they are not cross verifying the claim with data given by Taxpayer. Why they are Asking TaxPayer to Verify the Deductions ?? You have strong AI, Put all data in AI and cross verify and then send notices to Taxpayer who has claimed wrong deduction with exact description and Amount. This type of general Intimation Create Panic in Genuine Taxpayer. Hope they learn and Stop This Kind of Harassment.

Imagine this. You file your Income Tax Return in July. Every income reported. Every deduction correct. No shortcuts. No jugaad. Then the Income Tax Department sleeps for 5 months 😴 Suddenly, in the last week of December, they wake up and say: 👉 “Your ITR needs changes.” Fine. But here’s the joke 👇 • You get only 7 days • No clear email on what exactly needs to be fixed • Deadline: 31st December Miss it? ➡️ You can’t file a revised return anymore ➡️ You’re forced to file an Updated Return ➡️ Which means extra penalty + extra interest ➡️ For a mistake you weren’t even told about clearly So let me get this straight: ✔️ Taxpayer files early ✔️ Taxpayer follows the rules ❌ Department delays processing ❌ Department gives zero clarity ❌ Taxpayer pays the price Why is the cost of delay always borne by the citizen and never by the system? If the department takes 5 months to process, why does the taxpayer get 7 days to respond? This isn’t compliance. This is coercion by deadline. And then we wonder why people are scared of the tax system. Who designs processes like this?

🚨 ITR REFUND ALERT – READ THIS BEFORE 31 DEC 🚨 Thousands of taxpayers are suddenly receiving this message 👇 👉 “Your ITR refund is on hold due to risk management discrepancies. File revised return within a week.” 💡 Irony? ⏳ Income Tax Dept took 4+ months to identify the issue ⏰ And now gives taxpayers barely a few days to fix it ❓ Why no detailed email received? Because most of these are system-generated risk flags. Sometimes: • Email goes to old registered ID • Lands in spam • Or only SMS/portal alert is triggered 👉 Always check the ITR portal → e-Proceedings / Worklist 📌 What does “ITR processing on hold” mean? It does NOT mean notice or scrutiny ❌ It means: 🔹 Refund claim looks unusual compared to data available with department 🔹 Return is paused before issuing refund 🔹 Taxpayer is given a chance to self-correct ⚠️ Common reasons refunds get flagged : 🔹 TDS/TCS mismatch TDS claimed in ITR is higher than what appears in Form 26AS (employer/bank hasn’t deposited or corrected data yet) 🔹 AIS vs ITR income mismatch Interest, dividends, salary or other income appears in AIS, but not fully reported in ITR 🔹 High refund compared to past years Sudden jump in refund amount triggers risk checks, especially if income pattern is similar 🔹 Deductions claimed without backing data Large HRA, 80C, 80D, home loan interest, or losses claimed which don’t match available reporting 🔹 Employer correction pending Employer revised TDS return filed late → ITR processed earlier → mismatch created 🔹 Multiple revised returns Frequent revisions raise system flags under “risk management” 🔹 Wrong head of income Interest shown as “other income” vs “business”, capital gains wrongly classified, etc. ✅ What should taxpayers do NOW? 1️⃣ Log in to income-tax portal 2️⃣ Compare ITR vs AIS + 26AS 3️⃣ If mistake found → File revised return before 31-12-2025 4️⃣ If correct → wait, refund usually released after verification ⚠️ After 01-01-2026, updated return = extra tax + penalty Clients started forwarding this message since morning 📩 🔄 Repost to save someone from unnecessary penalty.

My best half and I Verified ITR in September 2025. It's been almost 3.5 months now. It's December final week. Neither my best half nor I have got any intimation nor the ITR is processed 😭 The Income Tax Website says Verified. Seeing many friends on X who are getting Voluntary Revision Orders and that needs to be completed in less than a week. Few honest constructive questions on behalf of tax payers and honest filers. 1. Can we assume that if we don't get any intimation until December 31st, our ITRs will be cleanly processed without any issue after that? @IncomeTaxIndia 2. Can The Income Tax website handle the load for revised returns in less than a week? 3. Many people are getting emails in spam and hence what happens to them? They might be honest ones in that also and ones who have made a mistake will be penalized for not checking. Many have gone for vacations also in year end. 4. When 3.5 months was taken for intimation of issues, I sincerely hope you will return the favour by giving tax payers 3.5 months to figure out what went wrong and update accordingly. I am almost 100% sure you will do this, because you care about us, right? I understand that FM Madam @nsitharaman & INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT will never punish any tax payer and will give adequate time to refile or clarify. If you as a reader resonates to this, or facing this issue, share these questions so that the team can help us pay correctly. We are honest payers. Help us pay correctly. On behalf of tax payers, #FI

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia, @FinMinIndia & @nsitharaman Even simple salary returns under the New Tax Regime are being flagged as 'risk management' just because the refund is high Earlier, taxpayers often faced orders without proper application of mind by officers. Now it appears the same is happening through systems and AI, only in digital form Technology should reduce delays, not repeat old problems. More clarity on refund-risk criteria will help build trust and confidence in the system

The way CBDT is heckling taxpayers & denying the basic right to refund is pathetic. Dropping an sms, saying some discrepancies noted & try revising the return or file updated returns. Can someone please file petition in the court of avoiding such petrified messages for no fault of tax payers. The CBDT has all options of sending notices, demanding interest & also penalty if tax payer has caused non-payment. Holding refunds and not following simple law is clearly unwarranted and lacks good governance. @nsitharaman @nsitharamanoffc @narendramodi @narendramodi_in @NITIAayog @FinMinIndia @PMOIndia_RC @PMOIndia

Income Tax Department has sent a record number of notices to taxpayers for: Fake deductions Fake political donations Fake trust donations Non-disclosure of foreign assets Form 16 - Salary ITR mismatch The last date to revise returns is 31 Dec. With just one week’s time, the due date to file revised ITR should be extended to 31 January. @IncomeTaxIndia @nsitharamanoffc

New day. New drama by @IncomeTaxIndia Now, if an employee hasn't reported any deduction claims to employer but has claimed those in ITR, does that mean he is a tax evader ? Assessees claiming genuine deductions are receiving this email treating them as tax evaders and creating panic! Also, when will @IncomeTaxIndia serve Notice on the MLA who lit up Rs. 70 lakhs worth firecrackers on a wedding ? Probably never!!

@PMOIndia @FinMinIndia @IncomeTaxIndia @nsitharaman Still more than 65lakh ITR processing is pending. It was ensured that by December all returns will be processed but it's still going at slow pace. What changed this year, why so much inefficiency? Honest tax payers suffering.
