How many is this now? I’ve lost count of the so called “charities” who’ve been ripping off the Taxpayer.

@winstonpeters @sandysummer353 What can they do? Their policies were soundly rejected by voters at the last election but they’re so under the thumb of unions and the Māori caucus that they can’t change tack in any meaningful way. All they can do is keep quiet and hope the media doesn’t ask any hard questions.

What has Labour been doing for the last two years? Remember when they had a ‘bonfire’ of their old policies? Then, in an election year, at their ‘State of the Nation’, in front of the media, he said he was not going to announce any policy until around July. Now he says ‘we’re not in government’ so has no policies about the fuel supply issues. He just admitted to New Zealand that the Labour Party was out of ideas. That they are rudderless.

@michaelwoodnz You could have replaced every fire engine in NZ and given all the firefighters a hefty pay rise with a tiny fraction of the $60b Covid relief fund boondoggle. If it’s so important why didnt the Labour Party do it then? We’re too broke now, thanks to you.

Just got back from visiting Mt Roskill & Avondale fire stations to show my support for striking fire fighters. Safe fire trucks, enough gear for the job, and fair pay are not too much to ask for the people who keep us safe. It’s time for the govt to listen & show some leadership.

@TaxpayersUnion The top 40% of earners pay at least their “fair share”. The other 60% cost more taxpayer money than they contribute. The top 20% of earners contribute 50% of all income taxes collected. How about living within our means instead of increasing taxes?

At some point, “fair share” stops meaning fairness and starts meaning “as much as we can take.”

NZ has the 5th highest taxes in the world compared to GDP. The 4 countries above us either have tiny GDPs (Nauru and Lesotho) or Rolls-Royce public services and state pensions (Norway and Denmark). We are officially the most wasteful country on Earth. statranker.org/economy/budget…

Great example of Māori exceptionalism. Non-Maori nursing students are forced into a Marae and have their personal and cultural values trampled. Their complaints are dismissed, derided and labelled racist. Imagine if it was Māori students being told Tikanga was “brown fragility”?

@MattKingNorth They were the Dunning-Kruger government, too incompetent to accept their own incompetence. And the worst thing is none of their plans have changed and they’re neck with the government in an election year. If NZ votes Labour in 2026 it deserves what it will get.

This NZ Labour cabinet were responsible for the single biggest act of economic sabotage in our lifetime allowing the shutdown of the Marsden Point oil refinery.
