@flight404 I think about this a lot too. I can't help but think such a huge quantity of high quality visuals will cheapen our regard for it. It's a little dispiriting as a creator and I'm already finding myself scrolling past things that would have blown my mind a year or two ago.
I had a french professor who once said if you just did something like going to the supermarket and experienced it fully without the goggles of habit and catégories you would go crazy with pure sense and joy. I think about it all the time. In a way this is all for him.
This pub closed for a bit and I thought they were changing the name/signs but instead they UPDATED the picture of prince andrew to cement their position as the nonce pub
Text to 3d is here, and it's sooner than I expected. I know the founders of Midjourney and Stable Diffusion have mentioned that it wasn't far off.. and they were right! Check these out and read about the system here: dreamfusion3d.github.io/gallery.html#AIart#3d
@sjnrth This is the dilemma I’ve got living in the Netherlands. I can apply for naturalisation in a couple of years but I’d need to give up UK passport. I’d LOVE an EU passport so much but would be so hard to give up my UK passport, I still feel British and my parents still live there.
@JoelOtron Beautiful but TBH it's already becoming quite boring. Also the fact that connections between shapes are always faulty/non-existent really annoys me. It's just conveniently blurred everywhere possible.
Are we still doing these? :) Maybe they uploaded Salvador Dali's brain to the cloud. The composition, design, and color balance have nothing to do with what I fed it yet it works so well. I really don't know.
