What's scary is how easy it is to take down anyone's site if they're hosted on @Hetzner_Online
I'm the biggest Hetzner fan btw so that's why I say it
But you can just send an abuse report to any site on Hetzner and if the site owner doesn't reply within 24 hours they generally block the server IP taking down the site
It happened to me this week for the nth time!
The question is if you're a solo biz like me, if you get to that email on time
Essentially you have to be on standby every day of the week forever just to keep your sites up
@Cloudflare is much more reasonable with abuse reports, taking the side of their paying customers first, and only taking down if forced by a court (as it should be!)

I keep getting abuse reports on Hetzner about portscans on port 22 outbound But I have port 22 outbound blocked in Hetzner's firewall and yes it's enabled etc. I'm starting to think their abuse reports are some kind of abuse itself?

You can only use it for <25 users or >250,000 users. Nothing in between.

Well I guess I'm not doing this. Spotify has a nice docs page with lots of API details, and it makes it easy to get started.
But it does not tell you that you're not actually allowed to use the API unless you already have >250k users. So that was a huge waste of time.

For so many years I've wanted a Spotify app with a small window, good hotkeys, low resource usage, and that's just quick to navigate around. So I finally decided to build it. I've been using it myself and I'm very pleased with it ✌️ It's still in progress but very promising!

If we run out of something it goes in the perpetual Apple note. Whoever goes to the store opens up the note and crosses things off the list. 🤷♂️

Dear Men: if a woman asks you to pick something up at the store while you're out (trust me on this) do NOT say "Send me a reminder," or "Send me a photo." You're a grown ass man with your own mini computer in your pocket. Pull it out, open it up, set your own reminder. Any less says "I really don't want to do this at all, but since I probably can't get out of it because I don't have a good excuse since I'll be out anyway, I'm going to make you do WORK to get me to do it, that way if I decide not to follow through (since I really don't want to do it in the first place or I'd have OFFERED by ASKING "Is there anything you need while I'm out," you know, like she probably asks you every time SHE leaves the house), it will be YOUR FAULT for not sending me the reminder. We see you, and your weaponized incompetence. Don't claim to be "grown men" who can "do what we want" and then act like you can't set your own damn reminders.

Well mostly just because I wanted to see if it could be done. Too long of a feedback loop if I only had my phone and was doing Claude Code with GitHub PRs. So now I can see changes near instantly. (Just not as secure if your site is public of course).
Brings us back to the old days.

I'm ssh'ing to a VPS on Forge from my iPhone and running Claude Code while I eat a slice of pumpkin pie.
Life is good.

You made it sound like people are judging trans people and saying that specifically they need to be saved. When in reality all Christians understand that we all need to be saved. Just clarifying so that we may not mislead trans people into thinking Christians hate them or see them as lesser somehow

ALL people are lost and need to be saved, we are lost in different ways. Because being transgender is something that is very outwardly visible, its easy to tell how lost they are and that they need to be saved.
I’m lost in a less outwardly visible way, I still need to be saved just as much as any trans person needs to
