No words needed. Just a beautiful flag still standing because of those that fell to keep it there. God bless them all.

Matt Walsh shared my tweet or X post on his video yesterday. We're making waves of optimism in the once dead waters of transportation. m.facebook.com/story.php?stor…

These two units were used because they are both within a few kilometers of each other for the year, at just under 200,000 kms. The traditional conventional flat top is a 2024 15 L, 18 spd, 3.55 truck. The driver doesn't try, drives faster, and idles too much (30% vs 6%). He runs faster, at 105 km/hr vs our 97 km/hr. But on average, he is only 1.5 km faster for the year. For the year he used a additional 57,591.42 liters, which is over Unit 740's fuel usage. Using the current average of $2.00 per litre, which is high but serves as an example, as this could become the new normal. That comes to a additional $115,182.82 a year. Using a four year equipment flip this would be $460,731.28. Or a measly $9,598.57, lol, monthly. Again additional to unit 740 fuel usage. This is over unit 740''s fuel usage. I know this is a severe case, but I believe it is fairly average for the equipment and operating practises of this segment. Thought I'd share this with you during this time of high fuel prices.

This is not how to start roadcheck week the interstate is not a parking lot. Police is stopped dead in the center lane and the truck behind appears to never touch the brake before impact. Yes, rear drivers need to pay attention but a live travel lane is not where you stop unless you absolutely have no other choice. FMCSA says rear-end crashes remain a major issue in large-truck fatal crashes, including 18.0% where a passenger vehicle struck the rear of a large truck and 7.8% where the large truck struck the rear of a passenger vehicle. Targets in travel lanes get hit.

The upward trend continues on diesel fuel. On average up 18 cents with Michigan seeing the worst of it at 55 cents. 🤢
